Zenvo Zenvo Aurora

Danish manufacturer of hand-built hypercars. Famed for the active "Centripetal" wing and the 1,850 HP Aurora with a bespoke 6.6L quad-turbo V12. Official: Zenvo
The interior still looks kit-car like. It's definitely one of the interesting debuts of Quail. Exterior is insane.

The OEM's sometimes sign long term contracts for manufacturing supply that includes the research and development and pre production prototyping. The vast majority of this technology belongs to the OEM's which is easy to see. Also silent backers and or partners could easily front up the cash and we'd never know who or how much.

But, that aside what do think of the car?

It looks too much like an AM Valkyrie had a fling with a Praha Bohemia and this was the bastard love child. It’s not a game changer it’s a me too model.

As we speak they are probably requesting 50% deposits from prospective buyers. That alone will be EUR200m~ in despots. Producing EVs, hybrids or batteries also makes Zenvo eligible for grants. Furthermore, the cars are hand built like racing cars. Therefore capital investment is significantly less compared with Fisker or Tesla who invest hundreds of millions into land acquisition, factories, tooling, robots and dealer networks.

I can’t see 100 people buying these in an already crowded hypercar market, there’s are too many much more recognisable brands with history on the market to buy one of these. Plus there are new models from Bugatti, LaFerrari successor, AM Valhalla, Porsche 918 successor due over the next 5 years.

I'm a car guy and can't keep up with the number of hyper cars that are on the market. We aren't even done. I bet 10 more will launch in the next 12 months including reskinned limited edition variants.

In my head there are 4 tier 1 Hypercar builders which everyone gets crazy excited over, Bugatti, Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren, next tier down are K’segg, Pagani, GMA, they don’t have the heritage and history behind them, then there’s a raft of meh manufacturers who knock out a few cars here and there but but will never make it to the next tier SSC, Hennessey, Zenvo, Glickenhaus, CZinger, Rimac.

The companies I have a problem pigeonholing are Singer, Ruf and Gunterwerks, they go far beyond modifying, and Ruf is a manufacturer. Then there are companies like Lotus, Mercedes, Jaguar who have all built supercars but that’s not their bread and butter it’s special projects every so often.

I'm sorry mate that's all your conjecture and opinions. I sure don't agree. Bugatti were Bankrupt and Piech pumped in hundreds of millions of dollars? Too right they should be the best. It was bought and paid for.

Then Porsche got effectively rid of them, for what! Rollercoaster contracts? Mentioned in passing at the top of the Voltron press releases from Rimac? That's just them nevermind anyone else.

History is useless if it's raided at will. Just saying.

In these spheres sales is all. And that's really it and all I'll state, to be honest.

Yes it is my thoughts, Piech spent hundred of millions but look how well developed it is compared to any other vehicle in its category. If I had the money I know where I would spend it and it wouldn’t be with most of the manufacturers I listed.

Ultimately VAG will swallow Rimac, I give it 5 years tops.

That's the point? They haven't got "hundreds of millions" of dollars, so what? Should they give up? Ofcourse not.

And VAG are out of the picture there's nothing for them, it's Porsche (SE) and they're going to float Bugatti-Rimac not the Rimac Group. KIA etc hold shares in them.

As for the money collections like Triple F or Hamilton to name two buy any or all of them. Just saying.

Are these people really that stupid, we've seen this before, Czinger are printing more than just uprights.

"Jens Sverdrup, Chief Commercial officer for hypercar maker Czinger Vehicles."

He's the Boss of Zenvo Automotive now. Perhaps it's licensed technology to a certain level only.

But to answer your question, definitely not.

Who owns VAG.......and is the second largest shareholder in Rimac Group? I don't see them not gaining control.

CCO is not top of the pile. CEO Angela Hartmen is, she's Jens boss. She was previously known as Anzhela Kashina, what is interesting about Zenvo is it's ownership, Angela formally Anzhela was appointed CEO by its Russian owner Valery Abromov, he passed ownership onto his sons after he was sanctioned, ownership passed from his sons to Julia Mirontsova, and now it's owned by another Russian Vladimir Ivanov. It all appears rather dodgy.

That's not answering my question, I will be very surprised if this tiny company will come up with any groundbreaking earth shattering technology that we haven't seen yet. Quad turbo V12 already been done, HEV powertrain now (almost) an industry wide standard, carbon chassis who is building supercars without one, this is a me too copy past car. The only thing interesting about the company is it's dodgy ownership.
