I was thinking more about starting price..like..the cheapest 5er you can get costs less than the cheapest E..

And a little fact check... over here (as in US), 335 costs more than C350. 550 costs more than E550. 535 costs more than E350. SLK and Z4 costs the same. X3 costs more than GLK. X5 30i costs more than ML350. X5 48i and ML550 costs the same. I don't know how 6er compares to E coupe, but 650 coupe costs way more than E550 coupe or even CLS550. Yes, the S class does cost more than 7er, everything else that is comparable, BMW is more expensive or as expensive. But I do wish your were right and BMW's were cheaper.

Ha ha ha...that used to be the case where the BMW's were cheaper. And then BMW's were more expensive with extras, not MSRP. But now...BMWs are way more than MB and some even make MBs look like bargains.

If you're strictly talking base model, MBs out here are still cheaper. The 5er is a bit less because it hast the 28i engine vs. E's 350 but the rest are still cheaper. GLK350 is nearly $4000 less than X3 3.0i, but it still varies by model. I can only imagine the new X3 moving up in price and the X1 (whenever it makes it here) will be around GLK's price.

That's why I choose the ITALIA!! They know how to build a true sports car.

The SLS must be brilliant. The Italia is a masterpiece. The Lexus... is a joke (IMO). But I would take the R8 V10, because of the V10 engine, AWD and design.
