Thats a nice shot Tycoon. Don`t dis yourself for taking amature photos.
I don`t think any of us claim to be pros at taking pics. Just do the best you can do. One of the biggets secrets of taking good shots is making sure your subject is in the center of the screen (heck I had to delete about 5-supposed pics of those jets because thay were way too fast and didn`t show up on the screen at all) . I think you succeeded here. Keep up the good work man.

Yep, that's my daughter. Maybe the pic itself ain't something special, but taking in consideration my dreadful photo skills, this looks good to me.

The funny thing about this pic is the fact that my daughter wanted desperately to go to pee (hence the "hurry up" expression on her face) , but i insisted to take a pic because of her beautiful eyes in the 1st place, daylight and nice background.

What about the rule of thirds?

The rule of thirds is even more interesting!
Instead of dead center subjects, your subject`s face is closer and off center giving the subject a more mystique feel depending on the type of photo.

An example:

I know about that. I was just saying that putting the subject in the center is not always the way to go. The rule of thirds is a much safer rule for getting a good compositon.

Reprocessed this several times. Used Silkypix for initial RAW conversion and then CS3 for tweaks.

I cought this Sunburst yesterday. People who passed me thought I was looking at a UFO!
I waited for that small opening to pass under the sun. It produced quit a powerful ray! The more powerful the ray the better.
