I hate it when people bring money into the discussion. the LF-A is too expensive? so I take it you can afford a GTR? if both are too expensive, then please for the love of god stop using their price tags as arguments for or against them. both cars are FAR too expensive for the average person.

which one do I like more? the LFA. it looks better, it sounds better and its gonna be faster (though not by much im guessing). it is also very rare.

Who said anything about money, we're talking about value -- not the same thing. The Lexus is getting beaten down on price because it is close to twice as expensive as the R8 V10 or four times the price of a GT-R.

okay lets talk value. there will be only 100 more LF-As than there are Enzos. How many R8s have been produced? how many GTRs? heck, how many Carrera GTs? SLRs? LP640s?

as for my money comment, its not applying just to this thread, but to anyone who says "ill take car X over car Y because car Y costs too much". just say the following and stop lying to everyone: "ill take car X over car Y because I like it more" :usa7uh:

stop trying to put quantitative reasoning on a qualitative judgment call. if all the car prices were the same, do you actually think the Z06 or GTR fans would say "ya now I would take the LP640 or 458 over it"? no! they'll then pick another quantitative reason (ie an Nring time) to justify their preference. they're feel the need to do this because they are forced to. afterall, who would take a Chevy over a Ferrari?

Its sad really. people can no longer just prefer something because its what they like more. if they do, they're considered "fanboys" or whatnot. everyone thinks their choices have to be objective. the GTR and Z06 fans talk about money because if they dont than they think people will think they're dumb, since there isnt an objective reason for their preference. the Z06 fans have a soft spot for Vettes, the GTR fans love the fact that their favourite car bitch slapped Porsche. Forget quantitative reasoning. It shouldnt apply to cars and supercars. If we were to think about supercars with our heads rather than our hearts, and consider only the objective, we wouldnt even have supercars because they are completely useless! :t-banghea

Alas, these cars are about soul and passion, not what makes sense. They are about what car enthusiasts love, and not about whats more logical to perfer.

If you like the GTR more, just say you like it more. There is nothing wrong with the fact that you would prefer to walk into your garage and see a GTR there then a LF-A.

GTR... Spec-V

If money is no question, then GT-R Spec-V would get my vote. Anyway, doesn't like design on the rear of the LFA.

I'll keep it simple. Love both of those cars, but the value for money king is the GT-R.

So, GT-R is my choice.

I hate it when people add money/value to the disussion. Can't you for once vote with your heart and the car you rather be driving around with. The value thing feels like a excuse. If you vote for the GTR, thats fine but give me another explanation than value excuse.

Disregarding value I prefer the GT-R as I simply cannot stand the way the Lexus has been designed. It just doesn't look sober.

^Exactly! Something about the look just says cheap!

It has all the perfomance of the a supercar, but doesn't have the high quality looks. Looks more like an aftermarket job for the sole purpose of drag racing.

Ok, if they were both "free", I would still go for the GT-R. The GT-R design is more solid where as the lexus looks cheap (especially in the front).

Now if it looked like...

Instead of ....

Then it might have gotten my vote. But so far, the GT-R has been tested and proven to be a work of art that even has Porsche scratching their heads.

When the cars in question are comparable in performance, on paper at least since we don't have test data for LF-A, and the price difference is HUGE, the price for value argument is VERY valid.

Absolutly not! Price/value was not my intention with the thread. Im going to be more clear next time and if someone mention Value in that thread is getting a boot up his/her ***. People are quick to diss Lexus on this board, GCF + Lexus = hate. Grrr!

I hope you're not referring to me with the Lexus hate. I don't hate Lexus, I actually like them quite a lot. I do, however, hate the ES. I love the IS and LS, the GS and GX are really nice but I do think that LX is overpriced, compared to the Land Cruiser.

Also, I love the LF-A and have been defending it for a LONG time on this board.
:t-cheers:

:eusa_clap Me too.

Of course the old one was nice...

It's was a Camry with a L on it, but it was nice.

Yeah, the current one is horrendous. I did like the old one. I don't know what it was, but it just had a such a clean design and the inside was nice as hell too.

Come on guys! No one will buy a suped-up 1000hp Supra over a Lambo... in fact, any Lambo! It's also about brand's reputation & fame! :t-cheers:

Value is a factor to be considered when money is an issue & in this thread no such restriction has been placed! So for sure, Lf-A is a better chico! :usa7uh:

I'm one of those who would tune a supra to 1000hp. Why? So I can wipe that smug look/smile off the face of that Lambo driver. :D

Master Piece

Hats off to both candidates...Technological Master Pieces...V6 with V8 Soul...V10 with V6 weight, and all of the above...If your a car lover and blogger...be just that...take yourself away...be each car...if you have not yet driven the two...imagine...take all the reviews, videos, your experience and opinions and formulate your vote...comparing a 552HP V10 mid engine RWD with max 9000 RPM rev count to a 485HP Front engine AWD BiTurbo V6 with DCT...Thats like choosing which girl to go out with knowing both will please you...What it boils down to is figuring out which ones going to give it to you the way you like it...and in this case...with all due respect...LF-A has it in my book.

I fell in love with AWD when I drove Audi's 2.7L BiTurbo A6...but in the racing world...true athletes are RWD with V10's LOL...Don't Blink fellas
