Targeting 12+ Terraflops, 4k 60 fps gameplay.

4 times as much processing power compared to the Xbox One X.

Late 2020

Horizontal and vertical placement like the PS2 and Xbox 360. So don't worry; it'll fit your entertainment center.

The PS5 is a development kit, don't worry. That's not the retail design.

I like the looks of the Series X. Buying this and the PS5 both day one next year. Can't f'ing wait.
You got 4 hands and 8 eyes ? What you need both for ?

Is this a serious question or are you just here for the lulz?
But basically, I need both because I want to be able play exclusive games, which for me mostly are the games I like most. First party games made from the ground up for one system only (Forza, Halo, Uncharted, Spiderman, etc).

I also have a Nintendo Switch (amazing system with amazing games)

Ray tracing and native 4K gaming with HDR or else I won't be interested.

Both are supported on a hardware level, same counts for PS5.

It was a serious question and knew you would say this, for eg i would like an Xbox to play the coming MS Flightsim.
But many games are on both consoles, and i feel that to play exclusives might be 1 ( in my case) or 3-4 (in your case) you pay a hefty price for that.

I mean these things will probably be like 1000 euro each.

It's not really a hefty price if you enjoy it and know it'll last for a few years. And I am expecting Euro 500 max for both next gen consoles. PS3's mistake of launching at 599$ will not be repeated.

500? shieet partna i might have to get both for myself as well then.

Worth it just to be able to play both Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport/Forza Horizon, as a car fan.

Forza Horizon 4 on my Xbox One X in native 4K already is absolutely stunning, I cannot even imagine the next version on all new modern powerful hardware.

Soooo.... looks like I was right; Series X will be 499, Series S will be 299. Launching November 10. Yayyyy

Series S is full next gen, but aimed at 1080p screen owners, people with a tighter budget and people who just don't care for the "best grafix".
Still much more capable than current gen systems, with modern hardware.
Series X is the beast.

So any upcoming new gen game will be playable with the same fluency minus the resolution on the cheaper one ?

That will basically be the case, yes. But on a big screen (say like 50" onwards), it becomes really noticeable... I also don't expect the framerates to remain the same.
But yea, it'll be full on next gen on the Series S too. The CPU alone is like three generations more advanced than the PS4 generation.

One big reason to buy the Series X is space. It has 1TB storage instead of 512GB like the Series S. Some games like the new Flight Simulator and Modern Warefare take up as much as 175-200GB each! The OS and Quick Resume likely takes up 100GB.

Because the next gen consoles can load assets from the SSD into the RAM in real time, open world games will only get bigger and require more space. MS will sell 1TB memory expansion cards and some Series S buyers might end up having to buy one sooner than they will expect.
