Great game, but making money will break your back.

Nowadays too many games are ruined by gambling mechanics for in-app purchases and grindy filler content to create the impression of "ZOMG it's a big value for money game".

I miss the days of being able to jump into a game without choice anxiety from panning a big map with quests that are a chore.

I love Forza Horizon 5 and enjoyed playing it for 40 hours last year. However I like the simplicity of the older Forza Motorsport 7: Open game, choose tournament, pick car and boom the race starts.

Yes. However I wouldn't be surprised if Forza Motorsport 8 will follow the same route as Gran Turismo 7 by introducing a cafe/paddock concept for accessing events and levelling up.

I dunno, GT's lighting especially in changing conditions is absolutely spot on. This looks slightly surreal, or artificial, by comparison. There's clearly a lot of attention to detail in the environmental modelling though, more than GT, but I do think it's funny that when he's talking about 3D material scanning, there's 2D grass front and centre in the shot!

The other pet peeve I have with a lot of games when they talk about damage modelling... is that it's bollocks. Especially when dealing with race cars.. carbon fibre panels don't crumple!

Yeah, Forza has always had that 'cartoon filter' compared to GT. Lighting though with real time ray tracing looks very nice.

Some of the real time RT in GT7 creates some really weird effects, in GTAuto the cars look absolute rubbish.

I wasn't aware that Sony is making a movie on Gran Turismo. Releases next year August.
