They used R&T methods to get their performance figures. If every other manufacturer did the same their vehicles would all of a sudden miracolously be alot faster than they were before.

R&T methods of testing are a unviable method of testing that will be impossible to replicate in real life.

What is the 'R&T' method?

All Edmunds did was use the launch controller that comes with the car - which any buyer also could. There is a video of the test in another thread.

lol. The porsche has done it in 7 mins 50 on semi racing tires and the tires that come with the GTR are regarded as semi racing by sport auto also so they both have done 7 mins 50 when independantly tested.

The GTR is no performance bargain of the year at all. For the money I could buy 2 seater cars that are truley fast and fearsome. Not some bloated 4wd car with alot of power and no steering feel.

You're missing the point. The GT-R isn't supposed to be some track special. It's an everyday drive your kids to school, grocery getter that you can track when you feel like it.

If what you're saying makes any sense, then why the F__k bother buying a Ferrari? Just buy a Z06 for far less and have the same tracking abilities?
