G class is a classic car, sweet looking and pretty fast for such a car, but does not compare with modern cars in driving, and can never ever win.

Im pretty sure the 30 year old g class beats the hell out of these other suvs for offraod driving.. its sure as hell faster..
its well built..
it has damn good resale value

Better off road, no doubt, few are better... is it as composed as the competitors on normal roads and corners?

It really depends what those guys were looking for and so far I have absolutely no idea.

the car is hardly 30 yr old. Its a modern, more advanced and not a single thing is the same as the car was 30 years ago.

Actually much is the same.. i belive the chassi is the same.. the changes made to it is often engines and visuall.. not much more.. afaik.. but i could be wrong..

BMW X5 is starting to show it's age so the third place behind Touareg and Cayenne is not strange. As for G55 , that car is soooo old and dated no matter what the results of the test are.
