Super Max has been Disqualified from todays NLS race for exceeding their tyre allocation.

On the plus side

Potentially. It's difficult to do effectively, or prove, but there's not much to lose for the SP9 teams in doing so. It's all about the N24 for the top GT3 runners... they're not bothered about points in the NLS.

Max is doing well, it was inevitable he'd be fast enough, I was worried about his behaviour on the Nordschleife - but no complaints so far.

Porsche was very strong, and the sunset was bloody amazing. Personally, I think Estre is a 911 driver and not a Hypercar driver though. He belongs in a 911 GT3.

What's next???

Max is doing well, it was inevitable he'd be fast enough, I was worried about his behaviour on the Nordschleife - but no complaints so far.

BTW, disqualification was because of tire errors before the actual race. The race itself was by the book.

I did finally see the HWA for the first time in action, which was awesome. That car was even slower though...

Yeah it'll go head to head with the M3 Touring in the SPX class. The 24 hours is going to be so great this year!

BTW @Matski, I took a subscription for FIAWEC this year for the first time, so I'll be able to properly watch the 4 hours of Barcelona tomorrow!

Based on what we've seen so far, the M3 Touring24h was running on average 8:16 laps, with a fastest of 8:01, the HWA's today were running on average 9:00 - 9:04 with a best of 8:27... a lot can happen in 24 hours at the ring, but assuming they all keep themselves on the track it won't even be close between them in SPX. The other car in SPX is the Reiter KTM, that should be somewhere between the BMW and HWA's on pace.

edit: not that HWA have made any claims about being up to GT3 pace, I just thought they might be.
