The first generation ML can't even keep up with the X5 in terms of on-road handling characteristics, how do you expect the G-class to do so? If we are talking off-road then of course G is the pick, but we aren't just talking about acceleration.

P.S. I'm sure the G must have gone through SOME update in terms of chassis no? For sure engine and transmission have been upgraded, but what about the suspension?

dude thats what I have said the whole time. The car isnt the same as 30 years ago because its been improved so forget about the 30 year old story crap. I never saw a test where the old ML beat the X5, then it mean that that G-class is a better car than old ML as well.
