Despite the great design, the performance figures are pretty lousy!

Any word on the drive configuration? FWD, AWD or RWD?

New design language? So all upcoming VWs are going to finally dump the Audi-like front end and seperate the VW brand either further, its about time. I like this car, but I'm waiting for the V6 versions, an R36 preferably.

I can see that. To properly compete with the 1er coupe this car will need a much more powerful engine program. VW should offer similar engines to the ones sitting in the Passat or A4. Nonetheless it's the best looking car in it's class. VW punched MB, Audi and BMW under the chin with this one. Too bad the engine program will leave someone walking hungry to the nearest BMW dealer.

I am starting to warm towards this car, it looks pretty good in these photos. I still wish they have kept the polished front grill from the concept.

The interior while nice, is all VW parts bin. I guess that is what they have to do now to cut costs. The seats are from our VR6 version of the Passat here in the U.S. Still very handsome though.

OMG it looks like an exotic in cherry red. You know what guys? I seriously want this car, a 2.0TFSI with DSG. Can't wait to see how the GTI will look, but I'm highly impressed with this car. This is really a sexy car and prefer the front to the one on the concept. The interior isn't that bad either. I just wish that VW would offer AWD for all the models except the 1.4l one.

It's not a problem unless you notice and pay attention to it There's a chance that one can order one of these cars with the stripe colour coded.

Damn I love this car, words can't describe how much I want it.

This cannot be unnoticed, especially on those white or red cars. Yeah, i know you can order it painted, but that means ordering a car in eg. Sportline trim and pay 4,000 € for it. That sucks if you ask me.

Yeah that's typical how it goes, but I think it looks exceptionally good in basic trim, unlike most other VWs.

Yep, much of resemblance, but a good one. I love that aggressive front of Scirocco...

You mean there is going to be a 1.4 liter version of this car? Is it the 1.4 or TSI?
