You're gonna need a bigger garage M.

Can't sleep, so I figure why not waste some time.... New additions in bold and I may go a little hog-wild....

Classics
BMW 3.0 CSL .
1969 Dodge Charger 440.
Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.
Ferrari 250 GTO or 250 LM.
Ferrari F40.
Singer-restored Porsche 911
Acura NSX.
BMW M3 E30..
Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 EVO.
Audi Quattro.

McLaren F1
Porsche 959... a childhood legend. If its good enough for Bill Gates, it's good enough for me.
Porsche 917...so I can be like Steve McQueen. Nobody's been cooler since...well, maybe Paul Newman.
Toyota 2000GT...the first Japanese supercar. So pretty.
I wanted to add something British, couldn't really think of one without it being exceptionally cliche (Jag E-type, Aston DB4/DB5).

Modern sportscar/supercar
Lexus LFA....i'll never tire of you.
Ferrari 599GTO... my favorite Ferrari in the last 20-25 years.
OR
Ferrari F12berlinetta

Porsche 911 (991) GT3...if the LFA and GTO are my unicorns, the GT3 is my Excalibur.
Aston-Martin DBS or Vanquish...Aston Martin has been employing the same shape since the DB9, but all can be forgiven when it is this achingly and timelessy gorgeous.
Porsche 981 Boxster GTS
Pagani Zonda 760
Porsche Carrera GT...like the V10 in the LFA, it's quite the siren song that beckons me. The chassis and inboard suspension.... After reading that bit about the V10 engine's development on Jalopnik, I've got a greater admiration for this car
Porsche 918... of the hybrid-hypercar trio, it's coolly collected in it appearance. It has traditional Porsche design cues that Micheal Mauer and his team superbly modernized. And, that power train is cool with an all-electric mode. This is the cake you can have and eat too.
McLaren 675LT... I'd take this over the 458/488. There's something feral about it. Chicane grey, black multispoke wheels with a matching papaya interior and brake calipers, please
Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.... Flat-plane crankshaft. Need I say more?
Ford GT... I like big buttresses, and I cannot lie, those other cars, can't deny.... I have a feeling this car will be legendary. Go 'Merica!
I want to add something else from Nippon, so Acura NSX. But if Honda keeps trying my patience....
LaFerrari...I was oddly hesitant about adding this to the list. Not because it isn't awe-inspinring. It most certainly is. I think it's so utterly perfect and that it checks all the boxes for the ultimate car, in some ways, without any flaws, it's lacking something. I can't really rationalize the feeling.

Everyday car to drive...
BMW M550d (F11)
Subaru BRZ
BMW M3 E46
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofoglio...anybody who has read my (borderline maniacal) raving and ranting on this here forum should have seen this entry from the horizon about a car that's not even released. While a non-Quadro would be more than sufficient in the real world, in fantasy-land, any thing goes! So the 4-leaf clover it is. I am sure a Ferrari-engineered V6 will have the proper oomph and snarl, if only it had those gorgeous polished manifolds from the Arese V6 of yore. Despite all the new cars coming out, this is still the one I am most looking forward to.... a proper RWD Alfa.

To be driven in....
M-B S550
Mercedes-Maybach S550... still discreet enough not to be noticed, but I figure why not go with more legroom in the back and the V8 is more than sufficient......NOW, if BMW were to come out with a 9er that was a faithful yet production ready version of the Vision Future Luxury concept, then they would have my imaginary money instead of the folks in Stuttgart. Alas, we don't know if that'll be the case. Such a pity.

Off-road
Mercedes-Benz G-wagen...the only reason not to opt for this because it seems to be the preferred ride of the Kardashian demon spawn and others of their ilk. And that's a really good reason not to be seen in one, so I was cnsidering changing it to something else. I was first considering the new Lexus LX570, but that gasoline V8 is a thirsty one. Then I was thinking Range Rover Sport diesel, but don't know how reliable it'd be. Then I considered a Cayenne diesel, and well, less discussion about VW and their diesel, the better. The new Volvo XC90 seemed worthwhile, but that's more crossover than true SUV. Then I just said the hell with the useless Kardasho-bots, I'll do what I want! However, a close second place was the Jeep Grand Cherokee with the turbodiesel.

Pick-up Truck
GMC Sierra Denali...it looks bad-ass without trying too hard. The F150 and Ram look like they are trying to be big rigs, the Serra Denali looks like it'll give you a stern talking. It's effortlessly authoritative. A 6.2L V8 is a must.

Well that's the list. I let restraint go by the wayside on this list this time around. Sorry, Mr. Musk, but no electrification outside of the 918 and LaFer. Having just reviewed the list, I am truly a dinosaur.

I want to throw the greenies a bone and, more so, try to embrace the future because the days of an ICE in a car are dwindling...

so I was considering the Tesla Model S or the BMW i3. I like and commend what has been done with Tesla. And I think for a major auto company, BMW has taken a more holistic approach to the electric car with the i3 (or maybe I got caught up with their markerting. Darn you, @SCOTT27!! ;) ). But I want to see what the next leap is in battery technology, and not only in performance and capacitance but also in procurement of materials, manufacturing, etc., and what the long-term effects are. With the current available tech and methods, I am just not that convinced. I am still rather skeptical and bordering on cynical. Truthfully, though I need to do some more research on it...

I was in the Porsche GT4 thread, and I realized that outside of the GT350, BRZ, and the Giulia Quadro, the list is omitting a modern sports car with an honest-to-goodness manual transmission. I guess the Boxster GTS can qualify. Either way, I feel I ought to rectify that issue. So let's add....

Porsche 911 (997.2) GT3
or
Porsche 911 (991) GTS... I'd be lying, but everytime I see @Sayyaaf's blue GTS, I get a little jelly
or
Porsche 981 Cayman GT4

I think one of those 3 shall suffice. Yes, the garage is Porsche-biased, but I don't see that as a problem.

Oh, alright, fine....let's add a Ferrari 575M manual to the mix, as I've been appreciating front-engined V12 Ferrari GT's more and more lately. I think it's because I am getting older. ;)

I feel like with the ever-expanding list I might be encroaching on Merc1's territory :P

My ultimate garage would be extended to 5 cars.

1. Mercedes 600 W100. The most beautiful 4 door sedan ever.
2. Mercedes 300 SL Convertible W198 (1958-1959). The most beautiful convertible ever.
3. Porsche 930 Turbo. Aircooled Porsche 911 is a must. And the best looking 911 IMO.
4. Ferrari 288GTO. Its art on 4 wheels.
5. VW Golf GTI. got to have a car for every day use. :)

Even this list is unreal for me so why extend any further.

Very classy selection of cars.

I'm thinking something like this:

1. Porsche 997.2 GT3
2. Ferrari 458 Speciale.
3. Ferrari 599 GTO
4. Porsche 991 GT3 RS
5. Mercedes-AMG 63 W222 (this is just for binging me where I need to be)

The 5 that matter most to me right now:

1. S65 AMG Coupe
2. Mulsanne Speed
3. M6 GC
4. 911 Turbo S Cabriolet
5. Range Rover Supercharged Autobiography

With the L.A. showing coming next week, it is time for an update to my listing lol!!!!

M

These cars would do it for me.

1. BMW F10 - 520d xDrive. (everyday car, xDrive would be ideal because of the snow/weather here)
2. BMW F01 - 750i. (to cruise with during the weekends)
3. BMW F06 - 640i. (simply because it looks good as hell, inside out)

Call me crazy, but I just LOVE the F01. I know many here don't think it has aged well, but I think it's one of the best BMW designs ever. Now, the rest (and best IMO):

4. S 500 Coupé (C217).
5. E 55 AMG (W211).
6. E 220 CDI (W211).
7. CLS 63 AMG (C219).
8. 230 CE (W124).

The Detroit Auto Show is in less than 2 days and the U.S. Powerball Lottery is the biggest lottery in the history of the world:

Current Est. Annuitized Jackpot for 01/13/2016:

$1.30 Billion
Est. Cash Value: $806 Million

Perfect timing! Time to update this list in a few days!
