E-Class W210 Tuners for W210 E55 AMG?

I have a friend in the USA who is thinking of buying a used W210 E55 AMG and he's thinking of having it chip-tuned.

Does anyone know of any tuning companies that can do this? Thanks.

I know a few. But they are europeans (Brabus, Carlsson, Kleemann, Lorinser, DigiTec, etc.)
BUT! I think Brabus is available in the USA, too.

Original: 476 hp / 700 Nm
DigiTec: 500 hp / 720 Nm / 300 km/h (limited)
Carlsson: 601 hp / 895 Nm / 326 km/h
Brabus: 530 hp / 775 Nm / 300 km/h (limited)
Kleemann: 520 hp / 750 Nm / 300 km/h (limted)

Isn't the W210 is the one with the NA 5.5L V8 with 360hp?!

Yes, the W210 E55 and W208 CLK55 had the older version of the naturally aspirated 5.4L V8 which was rated at 349 HP and 394 ft-lb of torque.

Eventually, the W203 C55, W209 CLK55, and SLK55 got an updated version of this engine which raised HP (355-362HP), but lowered the torque (376 ft-lb).


Big name reputable chip tuners include
Powerchip, UPsolute, Kleeman

A chip would only give you a few extra HP, with that engine. I don't think it would be worth it.

They are old, so maybe some of the products are not available anymore.

I only know about Renntech in the USA, but for the W210 they have got only a 10hp upgrade for 1550 Dollar. I think, it is the best way to burn his money
