RENNtech

Our ECU tune offers the biggest performance gains on the market; increasing performance from 556 HP and 550 lb/ft torque, to an astonishing 669 HP and 734 lb/ft at the crank! This allows the CLS 63 to run the quarter mile in an impressive 11.37 seconds at 125.01 mph with 0-60 mph coming in a mere 3.4 seconds.

Thats incredible!
The upgrade only costs $3,495, pocket change for bragging rights!:usa7uh:

The M5 is heavier than both E AMG and CLS AMG. Let's wait for the M5 F10 by G-Power.

^
It will be interesting to see. Tuners might have to modify the crank case of the new M5.

I believe BMW (if I remember correctly) stated that it won`t be able to handle 600+hp
without some sort of rupture issue. That might have been a rumer though.

There are modified X5M producing 700-750 hp and there are already other tuning companies working on the new M5. Dont believe the the rumours is my advice ;)

G-power as Levi mentioned offer a stage 1 for the M5 producing 620 hp

M5 still new on the market so its just a matter of time when we see those tuned M5's.

Engine wise, Mansory takes the X5 M from 555 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque to 670 horsepower and maximum torque to 700 lb-ft at 5,900rpm. As a result, X5 M sprints now from 0-62 mph in a scant 4.2 seconds (half a second better than a stock X5 M), while its top speed has been elevated to 186 mph

The X5M is a very heavy SUV. Not bad but not that impressive either.

M5 crank case rumer. I wouldn`t discount it all together. There might be some truth to it.( Nothing new but worth looking at)

]We have heard an unconfirmed rumor that BMW has dialed back the full potential power output of the new M5 because while the engine has the ability to produce far more power (well over 600 hp), the crankshaft cannot handle the additional loads associated with the increased output. According to the rumor, BMW has looked at engineering a new crankshaft to handle the additional power, but for the time being, the costs overwhelm the budget. Thus, the design improvements over the S63 in the new X M cars will be translated into improved efficiency, while not increasing nominal power output. Needless to say, the lighter M5 (relative to the new X M cars) will still have “sufficient” power.

Not is it only heavy. It got a shape like a rock and air resistant (Cw) are crap. M5 F10 are going to smoke those ugly SUV easily.

as I said its just a rumour, dont believe everything you read. Again G-power have a stage 1 producing 620hp and X5,x6M producing 700 hp. Your link is obviously clueless. It was the same story about previous M5 but now we know there are M5 E60 producing 600 hp.

Under the Skin of BMW

You could be both right and wrong. BMW is very much against aftermarket tuning. When the Z4 sDrive35si came out, many were disapointed it had no manual transmission. BMW said it could not stand the added torque. Later the 1M came with exactly the same engine and with a manual transmission only. Hard to tell where and why BMW is lying.

Is it necessary to mention any BMW on this thread?. I´ve just enter the thread to say this, as I knew what was being discussed before reading it.

Actually GTA mentioned the M5 in his first post. Which he have deleted/edited later on. Thats why I mentioned M5 in my fist post in this thread. Sorry for ruining your day ;)

Does it cares who metions it? I just don´t want brand fighting in threads.

Just saying ;)

I don't have the feeling we are fighting for any brands, or are we? Sorry for off-topic.

PS: It shows BMW fans are loosing faith in BMW and looking for other brands, lurking in other forums. ;)

LOL at the misleading thread title.

We're talking about some tuner companies here. Wouldn't have clicked if I knew this, so bye bye

Very interesting point!
(This almost makes you think what kind of upgrades and adjustments the M company has to make in order to get the added power on it`s own, let alone the after market tuners. Just a thought.)

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! That's so worth it if someone is really that hard up for power.

I've always liked RENNTech over the other M-B tuners, Brabus comes in a close second. Lorinsers just look plain hideous and Kleemann and Carlsson I always confuse for each other.

typical klier responce...
I made a suggestion to edit the header of the thread.
