Toyota recalls 1.3M cars

TOKYO (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp said on Wednesday it would recall more than 1.35 million Vitz and two other models globally to fix a defect in the seatbelt, a component in the exhaust system or both.

Yeah, but I guess this will not hit Toyota that hard. Their fans will tell themselves it did not happen... how could it? This is Toyota afterall.

Well, in the real world, Toyota/Lexus is now to be known as one of the most recalled brands ever. I mean, their recall this time is more extensive than most maufactureres production over several years.

As a matter of fact, Vitz is one of the best selling cars in it's segment cuz' she is very practical & economical to run!

Recalls are common in this industry...but 1.35 million.... damn! And coming from Toyota!

I just found out from my Local Toyota Dealer, as i bought a few toyotas from them, The total time needed is 1hour for the seatbelt recall, and they will be doing a pickup and drop off recall which is quite convenient as while u at work your car is picked up and delivered back to your working place..SWAZILAND is not the largest market out here, so i wonder how they going 2 manage in Toyota territory South africa and other Countries..

From what i have seen it doesnt lookj 2 be a major problem if they handle it like they say they going 2..
