Vs Top Gear M3 vs C63 vs RS4

No, because I can have fun with a M3 as well. The car is so freaking well-balanced and is easy to control on the streets. You can do a lot with the car before something goes wrong.

I said that for the rest of us Rs4 or C63 might be a better choice.:D

Andreas you are a better driver that May and Clarkson. You can drive any car with no problem.;)

No but I'm a better driver than you, thats the only thing that matters :D There is a reason why you drive audi and me drives bmw ;) :D

I 'm a lazy driver , that's why i would take the RS4 , i put minimum effort behind the steering wheel.:eusa_doh::D

Seriously now you have to admit that you will be "The Stig" for the new episodes ...

I won't tell anyone.:D

Ok okey, thats my car to the right

Well said. For the Clarksons and Mays of this world an M3 is the right car , for the rest of us an RS4 or C63 might be a better choice.:D

I doubt that about the C63. Seeing how difficult it looked even for Stig to control it, I think an average driver might actually find the M3 the easier one to drive provided the "the average" driver has minimum proficiency to drive a manual.

That was a humoristic comment i made. Seriously now the C63 turned out to be more "nervous" that i expected.:eusa_thin

I mean it's kind of to be expected (same with the M3). 450 hp, all that torque, rear wheel drive and it's not exactly light either. And the fact that they turned off the ESP, well of course it's going to be a handful.

Does the Benz and Audi have different settings for the traction control?

P.S. I also want to note that that part they said about the Benz running out of tire thread... I mean did you see how they were driving the Benz? If they did the same with the BMW, the tires would look the same.

wow the M3 a full 5 secs faster!!!

i love the M3!!!!

hahaha sooo funny when JC changed his outfit when he drove the M3!

cock-o-meter!

In a way it's an unfair test. The C63 and RS4 are SEDANDS and the M3 is a COUPE. This is probably why the C63 and RS6 numbers were close. Note how much legroom and trunk space there is in the C63 compared to the M3 coupe. I mean, isn't the M6 slightly faster than the M5? ;)

But in the end, I like them all and I would take the C63 and M3 coupe (not the sedan).

In TG comparisons they dont usually all agree on one car. So it seems that the M3 is liked as an entire package--nevertheless, it does come down to personal preference--even if the M3 is the best car of the lot-it wont be chosen everytime. It will be interesting to see how these cars compare in sales. Thnx for the vid, made my xmas. Three beautiful and awesome machines. If Jeremy admits he liked the M3 the best it must mean something because Clarkson HATES BMWs.

Bring on the IS-f.

I dont think they drove the C63 worse than the others, its just that that the car acted very nervous on the track when pushed to the limits. If C63 was easier to control, better balanced the tires would not be so worn out.

You said it Warot. I haven't any doubts that the C63 would wear it's tyres out faster than the other two, but the fact remains that Jeremy was absolutely thrashing the C63.

lol you guys are over analysing. Top gear TV is 80% entertainment and 20% fact.

The AMG only did that to its tires because of how its driven. They could have easily done the same with the M3.

While I do agree that the Benz is a bit less controlable than the BMW and Audi, the difference isn't as big as people might think. I believe they were thrashing it on purpose, making it seem as though the car was completely uncontrollable, especially when Clarkson was driving it rather than the Stig. Like someone said, TG is more entertainment than real reporting like Evo.

That was another great episode of TG! Clarkson cracked me up as he always does. I have been b*thcing for some time now about how the C63 was going to annihalate the M3 on a track and a straight line, so I guess I was partially wrong. I am amazed at the time difference between the two. Anyways, for me the C63 was by far the most attractive and powerhouse vehicle in the test. For a track bashing spree I would definitely take the M3 but as a daily driver the C63. Great post!

Even if the M3 has the better ride? Only thing favoring the C63 as a better daily driver is the automatic but even that is valid only if one is a lazy driver and prefers automatic transmissions.

Even if the M3 has the better ride?

I havent read any review saying that C63 has a better ride than M3, its the opposite. Seat comfort might be just as good but the suspension is stiffer in the C63.

I have driven the new M3 and Im honest when Im saying the ride is on same level as 335i. And that is a good thing. Oh yes, EDC is awsome on the M3.

Well, I think that was Sunny's point. Comfort is one of the things that speak in favour of the M3 when looking for a good daily driver.
