Friends is my favorite comedy series of all time, just brilliant all the characters. I used to like many older British comedies, Faulty Towers, Allo Allo, The Two Ronnies, Benny Hill Show, Black Adder etc.

Last night they showed the first 3 episodes of new TG series on BBC Brit channel, I watched the first 2 episodes and got annoyed with Chris Evans, but Matt Le Blanc was really impressive. I enjoyed him in the Ariel Nomad, with the great photo chase, he also was more enjoyable than Chris Evans in the LR vs Jeep challenge. Chris Harris was great entertainment in the Ferrari F12 tdf, doing his usual amazing powerslides. The SUV challenge in South Africa was a good watch also.

I believe over time the new TG will become more popular and much more enjoyable than the previous seasons shows.

Try and catch the other episodes too. It gets better.
 
I just watched one of the Extra Gear episodes and found it hugely entertaining, Chris Harris taking the AMG GT on a track and also Rory Reid doing Hot Hatch comparison and explaining the different camera positions and shots and his short driving in the RS and A45 AMG. There is good studio vibe and chemistry between there two guys, a good combination.

Yes, Extra Gear episodes are good too. There's one where Chris Harris is driving the 911 GT3 RS around the track.

But it seems people don't want that. They'd rather watch three old codgers being casually racist and trying to be funny, and failing.

I prefer this new layout its a refreshing change from the 3 oldies they had the same show format and sometimes it was annoying more than funny and enjoyable.
 
Chris Harris prefer 1M to M2.

And yet I think it was far better than anything that was produced by the other three in many years. I guess you can't please everybody. And on "the other forum", The Grand Tour has been slated by a lot of people. From reading people's thoughts it's awful in parts.
 
Chris Harris joining as a "full-time" presenter is good news. Matt LeBlanc was the only great part of the first season so great to see him back. Looks like this season could be a winner. Would be funny if Grand Tour bombs and Top Gear becomes a ratings hit.

This is very encouraging. I love all three presenters - they're like a breath of fresh air compared to the lame old formula. Just the trailer alone is more enticing than anything the Grand Tour has put up.
