M6 This is horrible, M6 with a Porsche wing

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019. Official website: BMW M
Agreed.

I was gonna say that the wing was purposefull thing on the Porsche made for the Porsche.
You beat me to it. :t-cheers: :usa7uh:

However the 996 GT3 is neutral at rear, while the 996 GT3 RS is downforce not uplift. So my guess is that the wing is there for downforce, not uplift.

On the bimmer uplift wouldn't be good, but neither downforce on those unsuited Continental tyres.

Cheers. :t-cheers:

The wing will adversely affect handling and stability becasue it was not designed to work with the aero package of that car. Even putting that wing on a 996 you have to change the front spoiler to match the rear spoiler/wing, otherwise the aerodynamics are all wrong.

BTW, I saw a Mitsubishi Evo wing I think would look great on my Gallardo, I think I can make it fit :D

Did you notice that he also changed the exhaust pipes?

Terrible look, but he also suffered all the negative comments at M5board :D

this must be a very "pleasant" surprise to his friends :D

I love it how some american member says a 911 is crap because it only has 6 cylinders, and that for the price its inexcusable :t-crazy2:

Not this American! I'd hate to see what Porsche would do with 12 cylinders.:D

Actually I think it is a rather well-executed mod, in the sense that it looks like it was part of the boot and not just an add-on.

Still, I'll never do something like that to my car - I'll get a 997 GT3 instead!:t-drive:

So around 350MPH in this day in age!:D

Nope, top speed doesn't really affect track performance.

In today's age that would imply faster acceleration, cornering, superior g loads, and braking due to improvements in materials, aerodynamics, rigidity, tyre composition, gearbox, suspension, brakes, electronics and so on.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
