Panamera Third Generation Porsche Panamera 2024

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.

Hope NOT.

Looks close to Taycan inside but missing the revcounter does it mean its electric?
Porsche must spare no expense on the next Panamera.
They’re modernizing the interior but it won’t be electric. From what I’ve read this will be the last ICE Panamera.

Okay...it's an Avavarii rendering-which are often "hit-or-miss".

However, should it be accurate, it will rekindle my love for the Panamera. Since the presentation of the Taycan, I thought that it had vanished...forever.

Are you being sarcastic because the Taycan is beautiful and as Porshce a Porsche could get i think

Sarcastic ??

I'm sorry, but I have no idea where you possibly could get that notion. I'm absolutely obsessed with the visual beauty and "Porsche-ness" of the Taycan. Along with the 992 Carreras/GT3, I find it the most visually enticing current German automobile-period. Not to mention it's other, in some cases extraordinary, attributes. Hence, the allure of the 971 Panamera began to diminish slowly but surely. But should the 972 series III Panny be as attractive as the car illustrated by Avarvarii, it will rekindle that ol' Panamera flame. Will I like the 972 Panny more than the Taycan ? Visually, we'll see. Otherwise, doubtful as I am a believer when it comes to BEVs.

Me on the other hand, have always thought the Taycan is super ugly, while the Panamera is handsome and classy. Don’t get the hype about the Taycan at all.

He's saying the Taycan is SO good that it made him lose interest in the Panamera.

Which is an awkward flex to be honest. Panny is better in more than a few aspects.

Still I am very surprised the next Panny is still ICE. Or rather, surprised they apparently aren't merging the Taycan and Panamera just yet....

Panamera is a bigger car with more comfortable rear seats, to me the Taycan is a 4 door 911. I expect a fully electric version along side ICE and hybrid variants like the Macan will be. They can't keep it ICE only for another 6 years.

The CURRENT panamera is one of the best sedans ever made. I regret selling mine, it was a marvelous car.

this next one seems to continue the trend.
Loving the interior ! Can’t wait

Indeed, the best Porsche in my view. 992 is damn noisy on rough surface, like my AMG GT.

What aspects of the Taycan interior do you find lacking?

I don't like the B-pillar pastic trim and the plastic speaker vents of the Bose system.

I found lacking almost same things:
- some plastics like B-pillar/rear seat belt trim were cheap but now there's an option to have them covered in leather so its fixed
- the door cards with Bose sound are too monotone, in the Panamera they are surounded by ambient lighting
- the storage space between the rear seats is open but you can spec it without
- you cannot get soft-close doors

Panamera is just one step up in luxury feel as it tries to steal customers of S class and the 7er.

The production version of the "Projekt K1" will be interesting. Little is known currently, other than the car will be produced at Porsche facilities in Leipzig, will serve as the brand's "luxury flagship", will be underpinned by a Porsche-bespoke derivative of the PPE electric toolkit and sales are scheduled to commence sometime in 2025. Surely, we'll see some sort of relevant concept car beforehand, giving us a clear indication of exactly what sort of vehicle this will be (Sedoupe ? Crossover ?...??).

I'm obviously a little biased, but I think the Taycan looks far better than the Panamera (not that the Panamera is an ugly car). The Panamera would have suited us better space-wise, but I wanted a full BEV.
