Nice trip for someone who has no money:eusa_thin

What can I say, my family is very generous. ;) I didn't ask to go on this trip, but my dad wasn't gonna let my sis and her friend go alone, so they said that I was going with them. I was the reason why this trip even happened, so my parent foot the bill seeing that I've been doing REALLY well in college.

But then again, it's Indian culture for the parents to pay for their kids until they can stand on their own 2 feet, because I will repay them for the rest of their lives by taking care of them and not putting them in old people home, etc. :D

Nice. Is there a Vegas trip coming up?

I didn't know my dad's youngest brother was Indian, his parents have been supporting him for 51 years hoping he could stand on his own two feet. I think they have lost faith.

Nah. The Vegas trip is with my own money. But I'm thinking of planning one for spring break. ;)

Your dad's youngest brother is Indian? How is that? As for me, nah, I'll be on my own two feet. Worst come to worst, I can take over my dad's business. But I want to start my own. In planning right now. :D

Spring break, better start planning before it is too late ;)

"Indian culture" he still lives at home, never was able to stand on his own. He has been going to school on and off his entire life. Just about to finish some law thing soon so we are hoping he can get a descent job. But his parents are now to the point where it is better for someone to be with them.

I'm still confused as to how your dad's youngest brother is indian part. LOL

He is not. You were just saying how parents take care of the kids until they can make it on their own. After 51 years he is still supported by his parents and lives at home.
