Artist, this is such a contentious topic (the issue of homophobia) and it is unfortunate that it needed to be raised in such a harmless, light-hearted thread.

I understand that certain religions don't condone homosexuality and that all of us have the right to choose / belong to the religion of our choice. This is called freedom of religion. Your choice is your right and you can stand by it.

However, it's also as much of a right to sexual freedom and the freedom to choose one's sexuality. Some religions are opposed to this but that is not for us to decide here on GCF.

Whilst not explicitly stated in the Forum Rules, any discussion of a prejudicial nature toward a certain race, ethnic group or community must be deemed as inappropriate on a forum like this.

This is meant as no disrespect to any religion. Instead, this place is meant to draw together many people from all over the world to talk about something we're all very passionate about: cars, in particular, German cars. Irrespective of whether we're black, white, blue or purple.

I would, as a suggestion, like to see members refraining from taking the homophobia discussion further in this thread please...

Ahh well i dont care.. i think ppl know where i stand in this homofobia thing.. and i just made a correction.. that most religons arent exactly friends with gays.. but still if some of you are then okay.. but i understand what u saying.. there is no need to discuss this.. cause it doesent lead anywhere.. and its not about cars..

Chris: Thanks - over here the Vauxhall/Opel brands are known as Holden - GM's local arm. That's a Vectra, btw. We also don't get Skodas right now - I hear they're coming next year.

I just learned something new Snake! I thought Opel's were known as Vauxhall's in Australia. I reasoned this because a Vauxhall is basically a RHD Opel. It never even occured to me that they could be badged as Holden!

Skoda's are great cars, even better alternatives to VW's. Great value for money etc. I hope you guys get them!

Ok here's another one of me taken this summer. The baby Jack Russell Terrier I'm holding is my neighbour's 12 week old little puppy. The name they gave it is really weird..."Kiara".... sounds like a Korea car.

Don't you have a Jack Russell terrier too Wimmer? I have one, she is very old now - 15yrs - She is so bad but I really love her so much.
