Scrapbook The What Do You Look Like Thread

Photos, memories, personal projects, milestones, collections, and community sharing.
Nope, not this time. My cousin and I were with a new VW Polo blue motion TDI to save some fuel (the track is 350 km from where I live), and we figured it wasn't really worth it to go over the track with that particular car. Just spotting and chilling ;)

The fuel savings were bloody amazing though. Incredible, 700 km on 3/4 of a tank....

Hey Klier, is that the prototype M3 (CSL?) sedan you're kneeling beside? Did you manage to snap any interior pics? Was there any roll cage?

It is man! Check the M3 lightweight thread for more pics, or check the front page of dimmer post, it's there too..

Been "snooking" around a little :D I must say, you guys seem to really have a lot of fun even though you never met (I think?) :usa7uh: Very cool of you! Won't upload any pics of myself, at least not yet.

Really fun forum! Haha, unique actually :)

Unique, you got that right! I know a lot of members here longer than some real life friends. And even though I will never meet most, they're my friends too, 21st century e-friends

It's a great community really.

Yeah, it's the best forum I've stumbled on so far. I haven't been here so long but I've started to feel like at home if you can say so. Full of facts like it should be but not too serious either, great balance.
And good job Klier, I wouldn't have had the balls to do that :D

Not entirely true my friend. I've met some of the guys on here, except I did miss out on meeting Klier when I was in Netherlands.
:D

Yeah, I gotta say! Been looking for a forum like this a long time, a forum with people who don't debate like fanboys all the time, barkin at each other for their opinions. People here on GCF really seem to grasp the concept of "healthy debating" as I like to call it. :D Even though you don't always see eye to eye, you still respect each other's opinions and perspective. That's unique.

Personally I enjoy drawing cars, and that's what attracted me here in the first place (the renders, discussion etc). Maybe I'll post some of them in the near future. They don't always turn out right, but the CLS did actually. :eusa_danc

Like I said, really admirable what you guys have built up here, the passion. Respect! :)

..I can't however speak for members' choice of dodgy footwear! :D

Or pink pants. Hahah :D

Well, if you don't think you're sketches are so great, check out my "Ghetto Sketches" thread. I'm gonna be updating that soon with this semesters sketches.

Hahaha... I think he was simply trying to keep in theme with the lightweight athletic look of that special upcoming M3. :D

Maybe we should create a sister-thread themed "Who Do You Look Like?",...I'm sure there's someone famous who everyone looks similar too.

Yeah, it's a really great community and we've come a long way us lot.

Any idea how long we've all been together here (here as in, GCF/GC.Zone from after we were all forced to jump-ship from the original GCF run by Brian)? ... also, how long have you and some of the other senior members been a part of the community at the original GCF?

^ Just look at your join date: Sept 2005. :) That's pretty much when this site was formed. God bless Admin - and I mean that!

I joined the old germancarforum.com forum back in late 2000. Members like klier, HighestofHigh, zafiro(Just_me), Tarek and TycoonGTR and many more to mention were already active if my memory serves me correctly.

I must say I have a great affinity for all our founding members. I may not see eye to eye with just a very few of them but I respect and appreciate all of them for their contribution and loyalty to this forum. Many of them I would sincerely like to meet one day.

ZAFIRO!!!! That's it!! Wow, I've been breaking my brain to remember Andreas' old username!
Thanks man, that's what I am going to call him again from now on :D

And your memory serves you correct (as always), and I too would love to meet you guys!

Now now, don't forget me. I was also active on that. I was just late to the party here because I had no idea where everyone went until someone contacted me and told me about it.

from last weekend :eusa_danc I doubt my body will ever succumb to such insane magnitude of G forces ever again.

When is it you are coming down, we need a repeat of that night at Pure :D

I joined spring 2003 and it was still very slow, very few members. At one point in time I had my join number and I am pretty sure it was below 100 (very least 200).
German car fans, then most of us went to another site which I can't remember before coming here.
