He masterly created the defining design characteristics of Mercedes in the 60's and it's main rival BMW in the 70s. Beautiful stylish cars that are all timeless. If you look carefully and compare these Mercedes and BMW models you can see his design language be common on both marques like the low front with vertical grill and low long boot with horizontal back lights and slim pillars
