I wouldn't consider the 2CV's interior ugly. It's simple and functional, and if you look at the car as a total, you can't expect anything else other what is offered.

I'm not too convinced about the handle on the dashboard either. Cousin had one of these, and that handle just fell off by itself on a bumpy road.

Thought you had a Saab? But yeah, don't know what my cousin has done to it, or maybe it's just a bad example, because I did hear noticeable rattle on uneven sand roads as well. Well, didn't leave a good taste in my mouth at least.

Oh congrats! Octavia RS doesn't have that ridiculous handle on the dash though. It was it that fell off. And sorry for what I said about the Octavia, I can only speak for the 2.0 tdi 140hp Scout. Sensible, but oh so boring to drive and travel in. RS is probably a completely different story!

Skoda interiors are very much to my taste and one of the best in this price range.
I like the conservative styling.
Citroen did some hideous interiors but they also did one of the best looking interiors in the automotive history too

I posted Citroen interiors and you are posting Renault and Peugeot ones, I think it's far to say that these French brands are among the front runners when it comes to interior bad taste.

Actually the Twingo interior is not bad at all. If the position and angle of the sound system looks weird, it's a direct connection to older designs. The first Twingo and mkI Clio had their sound system positioned like this, and believe it or not (having driven the first for many times, and owning the second) it's quite a good position and angle!

The only issue with the new Twingo is that you seat quite high, compared to the two abovementioned models.
