1994 Peugeot 106 1.4D "Kid".

Actually not **** to drive, but incredibly, immensely slow.

My first car, a 1981 Mitsubishi Lancer, I think the engine was 1,3 or 1,5. bought it in 1995 and had it a year or two. Had a lot of fun with it trashing it around in a forest the same day I gave it to the scrapeyard.

My very first car (like most "first cars") remains memorable. A 1967 VW 1200 Sparkäfer with an asphalt-ripping 34PS. It was a campanion for some 4 years (1971-1975). Relatively dependable, taking me from Munich around much of Germany, Austria, Italy and France. A German-American school buddy of mine referred to it as "The Cosmic Steed". Many fun times and I continue to reflect on them even today.

That B1 Audi 80, however, is a car that I'd really like to forget. A bonafide P.O.S. It's a bit of a paradox that I somewhat later became quite an Audi fan. I think it may have been my dads' 1980 C2 100 5E that "turned me around". He often said that it was the best car that he's ever owned. I've owned a total of seven Audis' over the years. And the same amount of BMWs + one M-B and numerous other "beaters" (VWs, FIATs, SEATs) as well.

It’s funny you mention the Audi 100 5E, this is the model that got me too interested in Audi. The father of a friend of me had it, a 1980 model, red with brown interior. He let me use the car a lot. I was impressed with the quality feeling and how it drove. The 5 sylinder engine sounded great and it was quite fast. This car had real caracter.

My mother's Rover 75 with a 150hp Peugeot V6 afair.
Trully a car to forget.
I mostly have fond memories with my personal vehicles so I can't say one was worse than the others even if it had some minor issues.

Depends how you define "worst car".

My 15-year-old Ford Ka did everything it was designed to do, and cost a few thousand Euro. How can that be declared my worst car?

My M4 Coupe (F82), on the other hand, was very expensive, and could be argued didn't do its job as well as the Ford Ka did its job.

Audi B8 A4. It promised so much and delivered so little. I despised the car and sold it months after buying it. I replaced it with a W204 C class and never regretted it.

I've just realized that I have owned four VW Käfer ("Bugs"). That 1967 1200, two 1972 1302s', a 1969 1300. One of the 1302s' and the 1300 were second car "beaters". And especially that 1300 was "really beat up". But it ran. And I purchased it for very nearly next to nothing with a fresh 2 year TÜV (German vehicle/technical apparatus inspection agency) certificate. I used it as a shorter distance runabout, cannot recall ever have washing/cleaning it (save the ashtray and occasionally beating dirt from the floormats), I put petrol in its' tank and occasionally checked the oil. I kept it for about 1 1/2 years and sold it for pretty much what I originally paid for it.

E36 320 a piece of shit that dumped its brake pedal to the floor while driving a couple of times to then just work as normal.
All kinds of abs sensor problems, air intake problems which put it in limp mode.

e39 520, also a tremendous piece of shit the speedometer never worked which means it didn’t even count the milage lord know how much it has been drive I drove it and it registered maybe one third of the distance.
Same with abs sensors, ecu problems and displays with that nasty orange calculator digits that came and went as they pleased.

I hated those cars, put me off bmw forever.

An origin story if there ever was one. :ROFLMAO:

I didn't have a dislike for any cars I owned as all of them were good to drive and gave me good memories, but my first car the 1981 VW Golf I 1.3 GL was probably the car that annoyed and frustrated me the most during my 3-year ownership as it had so many bugs and problems.

To tell you that almost every month it had some issue that I needed to fix and the list of wish items to fix on it was very long.

1) It was a major rust bucket, rust appeared on tailgate as well as the gutters on the roof and I repaired and painted the tailgate twice and fixed the gutters 3 times.
2) The electronics were a huge problem as the damn fuse box of the earlier Golf 1 models were peculiarly put in a place under the firewall that could collect water in a heavy rain fall and thus I had endless electrical issues such as indicators or wipers stopped working or brake lights would stop working.
3) The carburettor (a crap Solex) would have air leaks and during braking or hard acceleration, it would move on the intake manifold and allow too much air in and then the car would cut out slowing down to a traffic light or stutter during take off, The idling would also be erratic and swing between 2000rpm or 500rpm. It was a pain in the ass.
4) Spongy brakes - The pedal had about an inch of nothing happening and felt spongy and then would brake and lock its wheels when you stamped on the middle pedal. This caused some hairy moments in the rain braking on corners, the rear would unexpectedly lock up and then some oversteer would give you a big fright.

Lol I am sure they must have been enjoyable to drive when they were not in the mechanics shop! My E90 320d was a great car to drive when I first got it but over time it was very unrealiable with some expensive repairs and made me sell the car. If a BMW is not on a maintenance plan, then you will pay your arm and leg for even minor repairs.
