I'm not saying they're bad films, but there's two reasons why I wouldn't rate them that highly. Firstly, Brosnan's Die Another Die is IMHO, the worst Bond film, without a doubt, I think Casino Royale's return to a more sensible, believable style, without so many garbage CG effects did it many favours, but I personally think it makes it seem better than it was.
Secondly, I don't like what they did with Bond in the Craig era. They've focused way more on him as a person, and the workings of MI6, than they had done previously, but Bond, as Craig portrayed him, isn't a particularly likable character... they gave him a love interest and a back story to try and make the audience care about the character and for me it failed. He's not an 'everyman hero', and by attempting to humanise Bond (who has always been a killer and borderline rapist), the darker, 'grittier' element of the films came to the fore and, to me at least, that's not what Bond films are about.
