i really don't get it, why are people insulting clubman buyers - its just a car guys - if they choose to buy one, heck let them do so
They they are quite nippy but abit sluggish. My friends mother just bought one and WOW is it ugly and it makes it worse because she got the standerd one with the awful rims. I'm gona ask her if she can take me and my friends so i can have my own verdict on ita friend of mine actually drove and tested the car. Absolutely loved it: great quality interior, suprisingly fast, agile. Boot adequat and didn't mind the rearvisibility at all. Loved it loved it loved it.
Jeremy, you're a funny bloke, but stop the BS
It's no more dangerous than any other 2-door coupe, as rear-seat passengers can still exit on the other side just like in any other 2-door coupe. Logically, then, there should never be any door on a side in which passengers might be struck by traffic. But, common sense being what it is, most people tend to look before stepping out....to have the side door only on the Right hand side is potentially dangerous on RHD markets. It is dangerous for both the passengers exiting the car and other drivers on the road.
Anyone who's driven a Mini Cooper S (both the super and turbo charged variants) will appreciate the essence and spirit of the car.
The Clubman is nothing more than a dubious marketing effort. My comments posted elsewhere in Clubman threads remain. Whilst BMW's marketeers may be able to justify the raison d'etre behind the Clubman, the point remains - the Clubman has no real motoring merit over the Mini.
