X5 [Spyshots] Next generation BMW X5 (3rd gen) 2015?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
i can't see any difference except that they have put a black strip tip over that crease :stop:

Look at the area below the rear windshield wiper on both cars....very different. The angle of the rear glass on the brown car appears steeper than the the green car. (Photo's shot same day same place.) Air spoiler on both cars appears slightly different. Area below tag on green car different from brown car. That is what I see. Thanks. PalBay

You have to draw in some lines Palbay I'm not seeing it either  Looks the same to me really, with a difference in camo only!!!

Sorry not an artist. Very different rear hatches......and confirmed by someone who builds X's. Don't know what else to say.....I guess wait until the reveal. You heard it/saw it here first..... :-) Thanks. PalBay

I've a hard time figure out what you want to say, are you talking of the lowest part of the trunk, below the rear light ?

Anyway the difference could come from the choice between manually and fully automated trunk openning/closing similar of what can be found on the new Range ?

I see what you are saying, seems like two different designs.

That's my opinion too, until the car is seen completely devoid of camo they will continue to place extra body parts on there to confuse plus we don't know which photo was taken first and the time period apart. That said you can clearly see by the arches that one's an M/Sport and the other isn't.

First real life side by side photo comparison ( No Photoshop) of the F15 X5 and the E70 X5. Both photo's shot from very close to the same position, elevation and distance from the camera. The front overhang on the new F15 is dramatically different from the E70 X5. Euro Pedestrian Safety Regs. The actual top to bottom height of the doors appear to be very different between the F15 and E70. The F15 doors look more compact....could be a belt line thing given some remaining side camo. The greenhouse on the F15 looks more raked and swoopier than the E70. The rear end is harder to figure. The back hatch on the F15 looks less angled than the E70. Rear overhangs appear about the same. Overall.....the E70 X5 is looking a little "boxy" compared to the new F15 X5. Enjoy. Thanks. PalBay

I'm not saying the hatch on the new X5 isn't less sloped but in this photo it's not exactly side on so the hatch will appear more vertical than it might actually be. Though the fact this car was always intended to accept a third row of seats would suggest that a boxier rear would be more accommodating.

Both the X5 shots are not really taken at same angle, so can't say if the hatch angle is different. Unless you are talking about what you have seen in real life.
