X5 [Spyshots] Next generation BMW X5 (3rd gen) 2015?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Will we see the X7 before the next 7-series?
The X7 reminds you of the first generation X5 in profile , but as big as a Range Rover and just as luxurious as a 7er which it is partly based on the next generation 7er backbone (modular matrix) with technology from the forthcoming X5.
X7 will be more road-biased but accomodate the desire to venture off a beating track as they might say.

The New X5 follows on from the X3 and provides a more athletic look especially the more dynamic sloping roofline and shallow rear windscreen, In full specification with full size wheels and without camouflage X5 is a stunning vehicle , photographs make the car flat but there is a broadness when seen in reality around the front and rear wheelarches.

I hope so, otherwise these pics are disappointing. Also, does this have a serious consideration for a 3rd seat?

With a few correction on the shoulder line, erasing the rear wheel arch, and changing the way the tail light wrapps into the side profile, that render could be representative.

The render is too much X3 and less X5.
The outline is obviously correct since it is based on the photographs, but the detailing is wrong.
Photographs do not really give you an idea of how big it is, which Is a good thing because it looks more compact and dynamic. As I said before there is a purpose for taking the X5 in this new direction. The X5 is still going to be offered with a third row even though the choice has not as chosen as much on the E70.

Happy Christmas to all at GCF.
Stay tuned for the 2013 BMW Preview on New Year's Day.

I'm not seeing the crease over the rear wheel arch on the white test mule so why have it in this PShop?

Always liked the design of the current one, especially its interior and if its replacement keeps the same basic formula whilst freshening it up then it will be a huge success.

P.S.
Hope this time it gains a proper adaptive suspension that offers a true comfort mode.

Thank you Denis91(y)

Happy Christmas to you also Scottt27;)

I studied the new + excellent spy photo's by Denis91. I am very pleased with what I see. With the biggest face in your face from BMW (BMW's strongest point in design} it retains THAT POWERFUL PRESENCE:cool: Also does retain the butch stance and prominent though sporty+elegant wheel arches. The lower, broader and more rakish'ness just say: "Sorry Porsche, you should have tried harder." With your Cayenne. I see a evolution of SAV as pioneered by BMW with the E53, just with - AS EXPECTED - with more sport orientated panache. BMW's largest+highest and most prominent canvas has to be 'perfect'.

I am happy, great Christmas gift from my brand. Thank you:)

Hold the rotten tomato's...but I see some strong Infiniti JX design cue's in the new F15 X5. I've now seen the F15 X5 100's of times in person and at all distances and angles.....the Infiniti JX is there.......whether intentional or not. Especially in the front headlight clusters/fenders/hood and where the greenhouse ties into rear quarter panels. A little Japanese design language going on....... :) Thanks. PalBay

I am being honest, and really, the only similarity I really see is that both are big SUVs. And if anything, that Inifini takes BMW design cues, not the other way around ;)

But I have never seen a FEP X5, let alone an F15 of any sort, so I am purely basing my opinion on the available spy shots.

And BMW it is for sure. the "family mix" in the details is obvious X1, X3 (the newer - past E70 design language) + theme started with the F30's front end + strong F30 touring influence.
