I really like that rear....
I find it class and elegant.
Chapeau!!!!!

Yes, axactly. I assumed they new taillights will just look weird. But right now, after you can see the shape and light-cluster this is gonna be looking very good. GJ Mr. Wagener.

I don't hate those tail lights, I just think the rear lost some personality from the pre-FL rear. I find these triangular tail lights that go into the rear trunk lid to be almost Audiesque whereas the pre-FL gave the rear end a distinction from other carmakers.

Wow what a leak and it's also the rear of the new E63S!!!

I feel divided about whether I like or dislike the new tail lights. They make the rear appear wider and lower, but the pre-FL rear smaller lights looked great nonetheless. I think it will take me a bit of time to get used to this new rear. It does look less Mercedes Benz like and a bit similar to some Kia models

I agree it’s less distinctive, but facelift time is when a Benz is its best so I’ll take it if it means a vastly improved car underneath and inside.

So Mercedes have started using the same site security company as BMW now?

This has to be the biggest facelift in E class history. W123 didn’t get much, W124 got the grille/ hood and clear head/taillamps, W210 got new mirrors, hood and clear tail lamps, W211 got new front with bigger grille, mirrors and tail lamp graphic, W212 got a new front, pontoon removed and new tail lamp graphic, W213 gets a new front and rear.
