In fact, the upcoming S-Class will introduce M-Bs' new RWD/4WD architecture. It will be implemented on all S, E and C class models + their derivatives. It is a highly flexible platform which will also offer far higher economies of scale for Daimler Benz AG.

I don't think Geoff's point was Mercedes copied Audi, at least I didn't see him make that claim. It is a design feature present Audi's prominently feature. If some one sees that in a car today, that is what they will associate it with, not some obscure MB concept from ages ago that no one but most hardcore Mercedes fans are even aware exists.

The estimated wheelbase is a little longer, though?

If the wheels are 19" (19 255/40 for CL) the wheelbase estimated is about 298 (like CL)...

From this view, it kind of reminds me of a 6 series in camo; front lights, rear shape.

Something tells me that this is going to be really hot, but I'm still worried about that low, blunt front end. That shape though is hot. Much sportier than previous CL models.
