4 Series (F32) [Spyshots] 2014 BMW 4 Series Spy Pics & Info

The first generation of the BMW 4 Series consists of the F32 (coupé version), F33 (convertible version) and F36 (five-door liftback version, marketed as 'Gran Coupé') compact executive cars. The 4 Series was created when BMW spun off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the 3 Series into a separate series. Production: July 2013 – September 2020
The F10 LCi is imminent , The M5 will be announced at the M Festival aswell as the Competition Pack and it will be known first details of the M3.

Really can't wait to see the competition pack

I am more interested to hear some M3 details. The Competition pack on the M3 was meh. All it included was existing optional wheels, EDC and a suspension tweak, hardly anything groundbreaking/newsworthy.

Yet it still dominated the competition.

The M5 competition pack will be more significant with a hp bump, different exhaust and more hardware modifications. I'm pretty exited for it, but yes, I am more exited for M3.

What are you talking about? The "Competition Pack" didn't make any difference to the class leading M3 which could be had with the same options before the "Competition Pack" came along and sold them as a "special pack". The "Competition Pack" was marketing BS, which is probably why you are so sensitive about it.

Well, if the M5 competition pack does include that stuff (that isn't currently available as an option), then it'll be a lot more interesting than the marketing BS "competition pack" on the E92 M3.

Edit: Maybe the M-Performance Pack M5 is the marketing BS pack for the M5:D and the Competition Pack will actually add something to the M5 that you couldn't add before.

^^ hehe, yeah that must be it!

It did lower the car and it came with awesome must have rims ;) I don't think they were available over here before the competition pack..
Overall an M3 CP just looked better, but didn't really drive much different from a normal M3.

The "competition pack" lowered exactly the same suspension hardware by 10mm, and the 19inch wheels were available before on the the E46 M3 CSL. Changes like this are hardly something I get excited about but then again you may have a lower threshold for excitement about "new" BMW packs than I do.;)

No way.
The 4er coupe will launch before the M4. And M3 will be a sedan, not a coupe.

I think something got lost. At IAA we should see the 4 Series F32 Production and probably, but now I doubt, the M3 F80 Concept.

Ahead of the IAA we also have the concorso d'eleganza villa d'este , Goodwood festival of Speed and the launch of the BMW i3 event in Munich.
Each one an event in itself.

Don't know whether it is a reason to be excited or not, but the combination of wider competition pack rims plus the 10 mm lowering plus the updated/adjusted EDC software (reprogrammed MDM mode does not count since sport auto tests with DSC OFF afaik) have lead to the following result in the german sport auto magazin:
M3 with comp pack and "normal michelin pilot sport 2" now had the same! laptime as M3 without comp pack and michelin sport cup+!
The comment from the testers was very positive about the advancements the M3 made with the comp pack ...
But of course - if you expected more than that - you might be dissapointed ....
At least - and this is what scott meant imho - the comp pack M3E92 easily could defeat the 4 years "younger" RS5 and all the upcoming C63 variants in serious tests. So - at the end that little tweaking of the M3 was enough to "control" the rivals :) ... which shows what a perfect platform the M3 is .... (sorry, I am biased because I love my car ;))
