CLA [Spyshots] 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLA coupe (spyshots & info)

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is a series of luxury subcompact executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 2013. The first generation was a four-door sedan based on the platform of the W176 A-Class and W246 B-Class compact cars, marketed as a four-door coupé. In 2015, Mercedes-Benz expanded the CLA family to include a station wagon configuration which it markets as a Shooting Brake. As the V177 A-Class sedan took its place as the budget-conscious sedan, the second generation got longer and wider than the W205 C-Class.

according to my thread with Mercedes names, it should be called CLA or CLC
also in another thread about AMG, you can see shape of this car with unique headlights similar to actual SL

Hyrpex huh? Interesting. I think Mercedes is finally going to get their smaller cars right this time. They certainly aren't skimping by the looks of it, so far. A baby AMG CLS like car. Sounds good to me.

New baby CLS probably will be released with normal front drive , and special AMG version with 4matic and AMG engines.

If that is any indication then MB would be on the right track. This actually makes sense of the accent lines. They are coherent and tie the front to the back. Love how they intersect with the front and rear taillights. Wish they could have done the front of the new SLK like this. It would fit the rear so much better. Much better execution of the blunt nose. Very sculpted, yet not overdone. Love that.
That's pretty much a toned down version of the concept we saw a while back don't you think?

Except the mule has frameless doors, the Autobild pics got framed doors.. notice the single piece B-pillar.

This obviously ain't it though cos by definition MB CLC will actually be a "BABY" CLS based on the C-class, not a C-Class looking like a CLS (excuse the inherent conf...) And also clearly the camoed vehicle has a CLS-like wave in the headlight and this chop does not I suppose the rear will follow suit as well.

This is definitely going to shape up to be a really interesting car. I like the shape and the overall coupeish feel it has. It somewhat reminds me of this A4/A5 concept (Cannot remember).

The interior and dynamics have to be right. Price will be crucial too in the U.S. It has be below the C-Class.

M

below the C class, so you are suggesting a 1series (coupe) competitor? in that case if this thing arrives a few years ahead of the next generation 1coupe (or 2series whatever it'll be called), i think it'll be a big winner.. there is no competition now.
