Detroit Auto Show January 2019
It looks dumpy. I anticipate that the end product will be underwhelming, looks wise.

Why is this taking so long?
- Several reviews disclosed that it will be powered by N/a engine, the last thing you can expect from Toyota is plenty of Torque out of a budget sports car.
- LFA didn't do well because of the above, been there, done that. Even the HQ in Japan doesn't seem to give a $hit whether they sell or not![]()
- Toyota cars in general are setup with soft suspensions for daily use in mind, but why would you do such a thing on a sports car ? If you wish to experience massive body roll and nose dives, you just won yourself a one way ticket to the ER.
- The brakes ? I can release a book with no less than 500 pages using all sorts of curse words ever known to mankind. If I had to guess who engineered their braking system with an "OK" good to go, my guess would be, Fred Flintstone and his assistant Barney Rubble.
BMW's B48, B46, and B58 engines will feature in the Supra 2.0i, 3.0i and 4.0i respectively, these are all Turbo engines. From what you have heard, is there another engine option on the table from Toyota themselves.
I think the €350,000 price was also a contributing factor.
The car has essentially been delivered to them by BMW, at this stage...

Looking good!
I am actually surprised the production car, somehow they managed to retain the pointy high nose designIt'll pale into comparison compared to the FT-1 concept, but now fully sans camo and racing apparel it's looking fairly good.
I think both the design and driving experience will live up to the hype.front looks promising but the car as a whole has tried my patience.
