Panamera [Spy Shots] Porsche Panamera Thread II (Spy pics & info)

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
Wow that interior looks like somewhere one would like to spend time:D

Love the interior with that large transmission tunnel, very nice.

I agree. Looks much nicer than I anticipated, but at the same time the seem very wide. The width of the center console is of the same caliber as the w221 and F01 interior.

^^
The appearance is much lower and sporty with an exotic-like front end. Porsche alligator??

Hmm, looks like that long-ago magazine leak of interior was accurate. The interior does look nice. Now if only this car were shorter... here's hoping for a short wheel base 928 successor based on this thing :D

Yeah, the photo from autobild was spot on although some modifications have been made to the buttons and vents surrounding the screen. I'm hoping for a 928 successor as well and I suspect we'll see one now when Ferrari have entered the GT world with their California.

Damn the gear knob is huge and the same goes for the cup holder that can probably accommodate a 2L bottle of Cristal.

The interior seems to be very cocoonesque, that's cool but it lacks refinement and class, it has some jap influence.

Notice they have changed the shape of the air con vents, now it goes all the way down to the transmission tunnel.

Good eye! It does look better like that....slightly.

Interior is very ugly and exterior is extremely ugly. The console looks like something Nissan or Honda would make :( It's a true button fest as well.....

Proportions are completely off. I really hate the looks so far, and I very much doubt it'll be ok in the end.

AM Rapide and BMW CS are a million times better looking than this pos

Ok we get it, you think the Panamera is the most ulgy car on the planet, it's hideous, you can't stand it. In fact it looks like a turd.

Now please leave the discussion to us other members who are actually interested in the car and waiting for the camo to peal of. Better to leave the car alone than nonconstructive bashing it in every other Porsche thread.

^ it's because I'm amazed everytime I see new pics of it...can't help it.

Oh well, it's only my opinion, so it's nothing important. I just say what I think and I am not going to change that because you happen to like the car. This happens to me all the time when a new BMW is introduced, so learn to live with it ;) I did (I'm trying at least ;) ).
Panamera and Cayenne are just 'meh'. Can't help it. I happen to love the 911 to death, still the only real Porsche (with the GT) for me.

I'll stop complaining until FEP, I promise that. But then, all deals are off :D

Sure you are permitted to vent your opinions but that doesn't mean throwing out tantrums all the time, after all you're not a troll, right?;)

As for the FEP stage we are entering it as we speak. This Panamera Turbo mule it the first to drive around without any camo panels attached to the doors and the same applies to the C-pillar. The front bumer and the corners of the rear bumper are still covered though. Looking at the front end the mule even has a proper aggressive bonnet now. So the shapeand size we see now is the real deal. Obviously the final deal will look more sleeker since the test mule have a fake white green house outline making the car look like a hatchback or something.

Last but not least there is the tail lights and they are what will complete the look of the car. Sadly Porsche are probably going to keep them covered with the fake frog-eye graphic and camo tape on the sides right up until launch day. Kind of similar to how BMW kept the shape of the X6 tail light under wrap until it was show time. Manufacturers tend to do a lot of disguising when testing a car sporting a car with a shape not seen before.

I like how the switches for the windows and AC fan. Compared with the 997 MkII all the controls for the climate control have been moved down to the transmission tunnel. What bugs me is the dummy buttons, not very nice looking in a premium car.

Electric parking brake a'la Mercedes??

I wonder if Porsche have any plans of rectifying the much criticized interface of the PDK on the Panamera?

I wish I could see this thing stark nekkid already!
