In this render it appears to look more like a conventional saloon as the rear doesnt look curved, maybe its the angle of the shot as it looks different to the actual disguised cars. Styling wise the new model is not much of a departure from the previous Panamera. The rear is where most of the change is IMO.

The teaser started tuesday and the reveal is 28th..

I don't think its so dragged out.

Given that they've been showing spy pictures countless times, teasing the damn thing online here and there, it is already dragged out

haha belive me, i feel you. But to be fair that's not porsche doing all that.
the teasing from Porsche AG started tuesday.

Not sure if this has been previously posted, but here are some tidbits I've picked out from all the first drive passenger reviews out there:

- Transmission will exclusively be a new eight-speed ZF-sourced double-clutch called PDK II
- Any Panamera over 400hp will be exclusively four-wheel-drive - no more Panamera S but rather just a 4S/4S Diesel
- ...although many articles are saying that the entire Panamera range will be all-4WD, including base models
- Five seats ARE coming as an option, but not as a conventional bench
- Wheels are 19, 20 and 21 inches only
- Lower overall body weight than current model including 100 kg of standard equipment that has been added

Now the good stuff: the range includes the following:
- Panamera/4 - 3.0L single-turbo V6 with approx. 350hp
- Panamera 4S - 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with approx. 440hp
- Panamera 4S Diesel - 4.0L e-turbo V8 with approx. 422hp
- Panamera Turbo - 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with approx. 550hp
- Panamera Turbo S - 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with approx. 600hp

** 4S, 4S Diesel and Turbo will come to market first

Panamera [4?] Diesel [rumored to be a 3.0L turbo V6 with 340hp], base Diesel hybrid and petrol hybrid will join the range later. Safe to say that there will also be a GTS further down the line with around 460-480hp.

Less than three weeks to the unveiling... here goes!

Some of that info was posted before, but thnx anyway. nice summary.

Saw to undisguised car repeatedly and have to admit that I like gen 1 better when it comes to the exterior. Interior will be pretty nice though.

Is the speedometer expected to be analog, as we have seen from some spy shots, or is it full TFT?
I only saw exemplars with a an analog central instrument (very classy and high-tech) adjoined by the TFT ones. Overall, a very tasteful ensemble.

Not sure if Porsche will offer different versions as options or based on trim, but the currently known setup is an analogue tach front and center with two seven-inch screens flanking both sides of the tach with customizable information [speed, navigation, infotainment, car controls, etc.].

uh-oh.....

Gen 1 is a hunchback, this doesn't bode well....

I don't like it that many brands are forcing 4WD onto the customers. No Porsche also.

Me neither, not at all!
But then again, if we take out the GT3 and GT2, most fast Porsches already had AWD standard....
Good we'll have the M5 left. Or is the E63 going to be had in RWD too?

Good to see you posting a bit again @Busty !!!

No, no don't be afraid. The aspects I do not like about the new car are already visible in the latest spy shots. If you liked those, you'll like the final product as well. What disturbs me is the somehow undecided solution between an ordinary trunk and the fat rear of the previous gen. One aspect of this is the newly resolved third window in the d-pillar.
And: You also know that I love excentric cars and even like the 5er GT :).

Yeah I obviously meant compared to their brother Porsches.

I am well aware there is no such thing as a slow Porsche, but thanks for your thoughts on the subject!

The first generation V6 Cayenne [0-100 in 9.1 seconds for the 955, 8.5 for the 957] would beg to differ... Some may also throw the current V6 Cayennes into that mix. ;)

No, I know what you're saying. It's just amazing how we've almost come as far as physics will allow us, when the entry 911 goes as fast as some supercars did a few years ago.
