Having seen and sat in the new C coupe 2 days back it looks stunning and it has a very nice presence and the rear looks stunning in real.

The one issue is the headroom in rear I am not tall and my head was touching the roof.

I think the E coupe will look stunning add the new interior bigger car and so on it should be a beauty.Hope they have decent rear headroom.

The whole car looks like the same ole E Coupe that is out now, very troubling. I'm tired of that shape.

The thing I'm most interested in is, how will this car impact the next-gen CLS, in terms of positioning?

Will MB introduce CLE, practically taking place of the current CLS, and move next-gen CLS upmarket, to the S Class portfolio? Or perhaps, CLS is to become AMG's Panamera competitor?

^^ I was about saym along with Mercedes CLE/CLS coupes there will a proper AMG 4 door coupe as well. Will be interesting to see how the position each of them

Those last three aren't true E Coupes, only the C123 and C124 are true E Coupe. This newest E appears to be the same old shape of the current "E-Class" Coupe. A huge let down. It is time for something new and for the E Coupe to move up in size and specfication and not be just another warmed over CLK which is what the current E Coupe is.

MB Passion claims the new E-Class Coupe (C238) may be 123 mm longer than it's predecessor since it's supposed to be a true E-Class Coupe. :)

C205: 4686 mm -- Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe

C238: 4826 mm (according to MB Passion; expected to premiere in 2017)

If those dimensions are correct it fits perfectly between S and C and to give a idea it's similar to previous generation 6 series BMW.

I don't get how Mr.Merc can say this heavily camouflaged car looks exactly like the old E coupe.

^ Definitely the best looking E class coupe to date including CLKs variants. W124 based coupe is very close in desirability to this W123 coupe. However, the beautiful steel work on W123 Coupe's side windows makes all other E/CLK coupes look ordinary in comparison. In CLK guise only the first generation has some desirability, the rest for me are not worthy of the same class here.

far too early to say imo, camouflage adds a lot of visual 'junk' to the appearance. I think they would do a superb job with this car, going by the S or C-Coupe.

The proportions/shape is the same.

I can see some differences Merc1. It`s all for the better this time around.
The roofline is obviously lower on the new one. Espicially over the 3/4 window. The new one has more body mass and sits slightly upright compared to the current one. The wheelbase is longer. I like the fact that the area ahead of the rear axle is equal to the rear overhang.
(something that was missed on the new C coupe) This adds balance to the overall design. As I predicted, I believe this will be a conservitive, clean good looking design based off the new E sedan.
The interior might be identical to the sedan, as the C-coupe is to the C-Class sedan.
