X5 [Spy Shots] Next Gen BMW X5 (G65) and iX5 - coming in 2027?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
The X5 features both a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an Alcantara headliner. While BMW has recently been removing materials like leather and wood from some models to cut costs, it appears we won't see such cost cuts in the X5. I'm quite pleased with this.
I mean, they better not. It’s a premium SUV after all, and considering its segment, it must be premium on the inside as well. I’m also expecting some wood touches and metal details to make it look worthy.

These are actual renders rather than AI, and I don’t think it resembles the current X5 at all.
In my opinion, it definitely lacks some NK; the previous renders presented seem more accurate, but I could be wrong.

That's just sad. The split tailgate for the X5/X7 and glass openings in the 5er touring until G61 is very useful and one of the nicest feature of an BMW touring. If I remember correctly, BMW said it was abandoned due the aerodynamics, but that's just feels like a terrible excuse for an another cost cuttings.

It's just cost cutting. The prototypes of the Touring still had the split window part if I recall the spy shots. It was a last minute ditch to cut costs.

The X5 will look cleaner without another additional shut-line in the rear of the X5, but it's a feature I hate seeing go..

I agree it's sad to see these little things go away. It looked super cool in my eyes. And really practical, which was the point after all.

Personally I don’t like the split door on the X5, so no tears for me.

Nice gimmick, but nothing like the glass opening of a Touring which actually is useful unlike the split X5 gate.

I've never seen the practical part to be honest. Yeah you can sort of sit/lean on the bench for a bit but for the rest???

Do still love it though lol

This car is going to be a winner. Too bad the M version will have that awful sound again. Any news about the upcoming the new GLE?
