I'm not getting van vibes just yet. Perhaps pitching closer to a crossover lines than before - I actually get Velar vibes from the side profile - but not an MPV as yet.

Indeed looks longer and lower, first reinterpretation away from the first X5 generation and its’ successors. Intrigued.

The BMW X3 model line never had a "proper" Hofmeister kink to begin with. The last X5 with a traditional kink was the F15. Even G05 has a loose interpretation of the traditional kink.

The new X3's D-pillar treatment is purely an extension of the theme established with G01. So I doubt we'll be seeing BMW revert to the - let's call it classic - Hofmeister kink on this new model.

The current X5 has a clear kink IMO. The second gen X3 also had a clear kink, although it didn’t look so good. I have seen people argumenting that the current X3 also has a kink, but that it is just starting earlier….

The door handles correspond to those of the BMW Neue Klasse X study, exciting! Currently, BMW models are driving around with four different door handle variants. Those from the i7/iX, i5, iX3 NA, and now these here.
