I'm not getting van vibes just yet. Perhaps pitching closer to a crossover lines than before - I actually get Velar vibes from the side profile - but not an MPV as yet.
Velar. YES. Good way to describe it from these spy pics.

Yeah - a little bit of that too...Kind of seeing Volvo XC vibes. But the panels are probably making it look that way.
Grille is taller. You can see how deep it goes.View attachment 746217
Gives me first generation X5 vibes. Especially from the side and the rear. Looks amazing.
The current X5 has a clear kink IMO. The second gen X3 also had a clear kink, although it didn’t look so good. I have seen people argumenting that the current X3 also has a kink, but that it is just starting earlier….The BMW X3 model line never had a "proper" Hofmeister kink to begin with. The last X5 with a traditional kink was the F15. Even G05 has a loose interpretation of the traditional kink.
The new X3's D-pillar treatment is purely an extension of the theme established with G01. So I doubt we'll be seeing BMW revert to the - let's call it classic - Hofmeister kink on this new model.

Looks good, although definitely getting some Acura MDX vibes from this angle.View attachment 746215
