CT4 [Spy Shots] Cadillac CT4 Spied

The Cadillac CT4 is a sedan manufactured and marketed by Cadillac.
It's certainly no BMW, otherwise the driver would be smiling and not looking like he is at a funeral ceremony.

Why do BMW owners meet each other and don't greet? Because they have already seen each other in a car repair service ;)

Ure wrong. According to your strange logic this brand must not make cars at all.

Nope, I said that people don't what a small Cadillac. The failure of the ATS proves this, now they're doing it again and change the name and yet you (and GM) seems to think this is going to work, this time. All you have is that "they will make cars in every size" and now you come back with thinking that Cadillac shouldn't make cars at all? I said THIS car is a mistake. Seriously, what aren't you getting?

I actually think Cadillac might see more success in this model. Clues seem to be pointing that this will essentially be a warmed over ATS but aimed at a lower class of cars, increasing the value proposition. Part of the ATS' failure was it was trying to compete with the C-class and 3-series. It held its own from a driving dynamics standpoint but other spots were subpar; not the case when it's compared to a 1-series or A-class sedan.

In order to hit that price point, GM will have to cut costs somewhere and the interior will likely be a cheap mess. Even cheaper than a A-Class or A3 inside if you can imagine that. Cadillac's strategy of putting a bigger car in a smaller car price class has never worked because if people wanted a bigger car they would buy it in the next segment up.

No.no you have that wrong my friend. BMW test drivers do enjoy greeting Cadillac drivers. Just in their own special way.

ATS had a bad interior/boring exterior.

There is no brand that makes only big cars. Except for the RR I guess. We are not in the 60s.
XT4 sells, XT5 sells. Its not about big and small cars, its about the quality of the product. Some people want small cars, some want big. Thats why there are lots of car segments 2day. And Cadillac can't ignore them.

Plot lost. XT4 and XT5 are NOT CARS, they are SUVs. You don't get it so carry on.

In China, almost all the auto medias praised the sharp handling and driving dynamic of Cadillac ATS,on comparing test with Bmw 3er by many Chinese auto medias,ATS won almost every time on this aspect. But the biggest problem of ATS is its crappier interior designs, even worse than Bmw 3er which is commonly regarded as rude by many Chinese customers though.
But Chinese sports sedan fans still prefer ATS,its annual sales figures kept around 40K in China, far better than it did in US.

Typical GM apologist, can't even see it when past failures tell the story in detail.

:ROFLMAO: Cadillac must only make big cars. Ok. Previous Cadillacs did not sell because they were shorter than the 30meters long yachts. C and D and probably even E segments are not for Cadillacs. Ok, I get ur point.

I just checked ,In 2018 Cadillac sold 57,227 ATS in China, that's not a bad figure.

This doesn't make Cadillac cars better. The hen teaches the Eagle to fly.

Sorry, but I'm not impressed by BMWes. I'm impressed the by the upcoming products from Cadillac that I saw.
Only Escalade's interior is smth that BMW won't touch next 10 years minimum  You will see soon :)
And then we will talk about eagles, elephants and stuff)

For Cadillac,I think it should learn from its local rival Lincoln's latest conduction on designs, platform and packages.Cadillac always benchmark Bmw in the past years, yes,it successfully improved driving dynamic and handling of cars.but the interior design, the materials used, the fit and finish are all far fall behind its German rivals.
