A few days ago, an exclusive Cadillac Society report stated that the Cadillac XT6 will have a cabin identical to that of the Cadillac XT5. Now, our spy photographer managed to capture the Cadillac XT6 interior with minimal camouflage, thereby confirming what we reported.

The center stack on the Cadillac XT6 begins with two horizontally-placed air vents that, in these photos, are covered by cloth camouflage. The vents are followed by an 8-inch screen running the latest version of the Cadillac User Experience infotainment system.

The touch-based volume control slider that usually resides immediately below the screen is gone from the XT6. We explain why down below. The screen is followed by a row of HVAC controls and then an open, cover-less storage space completes the center stack.

The center console is the only part of the new Cadillac XT6 interior that is different from the XT5: two rotary controls for the infotainment system are positioned immediately aft of the Electronic Precision Shifter. Initially introduced on the all-new 2019 Cadillac XT4 and on the (soon-to-be-discontinued) 2019 CT6 refresh, the smaller control is for adjusting volume (and, hence, the reason for the removal of the volume slider), while the larger control behind it drives the screen.

Haha, where is the revolutionary Cadillac interior I've been hearing members wax poetic about?

It isn't happening, and with GM back in a sickly condition, it probably never will. With the GM the rhetoric and promises have NEVER been backed up by the product. I don't see that changing until the company is completely redone from top to bottom with totally new management.

I saw this interior more than a year ago. I've been always saying the XT6 would get XT5/Ct6 style cabin.
And I'm ok with it.
At the same time I saw the Escalade's interior too. The same day when I was shown the XT6, they showed me a photo of the Escalade.
It has a revolutionary interior. Its basically an improved version of this one:

As for the XT6, it’s not groundbreaking, but with different color interior options and dash materials it’ll probably look very classy. There is a touch more bling on the door speaker grilles as well.

Have you ever seen Mrs Bara to speak passionately about cars? I haven't. But not only her. Most of the CEOs speak more passionately about annual results than about cars. Dr. Z is an exception. I can not guess for another one.

She stated upon her installment, "no more junk cars" and the results have been mixed. While GM doesn't build any real outright junk anymore, they're still just average cars in 9 out of 10 examples. Outside of performance cars like the V Series Cadillacs, Corvette and the V8 Camaro models GM just doesn't excel at anything. Combine that with their past reputation for JUNK and things get difficult when markets retract (sedans) and buyers go to the best. Performance vehicles, trucks (huge success) and SUVs are where GM lives now in engineering prowess/talent and sheer sales. Just like Ford, it appears they are giving up on passenger cars that aren't Cadillacs. GM is just the poster child for incompetence and bumbling and now they're making big moves to save their ass because I don't think the U.S. taxpayer will bail them out this time.

^actually Caddy's given up on cars too....CT6 (had potential with F/L and new V8) and the XTS (garbage from day 1). Focus for them is on SUVS/crossovers. Let's see how the CT5 and CT4(?) pan out. Curious to see if Caddy will again compete in the large sedan class as there were chatter of a model above the CT6.

I don't regret about their decision to kill the CT6. Even though an MCE version is better, but its interior is still not enough. So they've killed it to bring smth new.
There will be two F-segment models.

Wow, they’re dropping the CT6 already? Lincoln’s dropping the Continental, so one could say it even things out.

Both brands refuse to give livery companies what they want, a large roomy RWD-based sedan. Now they’ve mostly upgraded to S-classes and will never look back.

If a shrewd business man ran Cadillac, they’d stop wasting money and effort on flop-after-flop and just sell the Escalade in 3 sizes... throwing all their R&D dollars on blinging Chevy Tahoes.

They are really dropping the Conti or are they going to transition to the new RWD platform used on the upcoming Explorer/Aviator? Sidenote: I am really impressed with the Aviator thus far. Looking forward to seeing reviews and see how it stacks up.

Yeah, will be dropped. Being that the Navigator is the SUV equivalent and the Aviator just dropped, I don't think it'll have any direct replacement.

The concept was stunning... lackluster fwd production car. Good car for the money though with all the discounts.

Yet the CT6 was supposed to be all that, but wasn't. It's the exact same excuse with every car they do. It's never good enough. You actually think GM is going to spend the money on a bigger more expensive car after canceling the CT6? Man come on you can't be this naive.

New?? Next year they will bring XT6, CT5 and later on CT4 so..if there is something new, regarding big sedan, i don't think it will be in market for another 2 or 3 years..if it ever comes.

As it stands now...even Lexus (LS) and Genesis(G90) has more luxurious sedans in their lineup than a Cadillac at the moment. Not a good thing for "luxury" brand IMO...missing a top contender .

Well yes, its gonna take 2-3 years.

The automotive industry and the very perception of mobility finds itself in a state of unprecedented upheaval. GM appears (to me) to be woefully unprepared for the challenges of an extremely demanding and volatile future. A future that they hope to find in their rearview mirrors, so it seems. They are treading the terrain with lead shoes.

Cadillac have been a lacklustre brand and failure for a long time. The only credible models they have produced lately are the V performance models, but all other models are mediocre to say the least. They will never be a worthy rival for the Germans as they bringing nothing revolutionary or even stylish to the market with zero sense of luxury design. Look how far Hyundai and Kia have come with their Genesis and K900 models and Lexus is bringing out really stylish cars with unique interior features (new LS with glass door trim panels). GM should just cancel the brand and save themselves more money
