I’ve watched a good deal of the presentation videos out there and I can’t recall when last I’ve been this excited about a BMW design direction.
There’s nothing about this concept’s design that I don’t like and a whole lot that I like very much. A very promising prospective for BMW; their stakeholders must be feeling very upbeat.

From the outside, it's already brilliant and exactly to my taste. But the interior is the real star. If they manage to achieve all that, then it meets 100% of what I demand in a new vehicle. So, it could replace my ix1... ;)

Man it’s so disappointing hearing they are saving the vertical kidneys only for the SUVs, they look so good.

Looks nice, but looks too concept. I think the production version will look very different
Yup. The devil is in the details such as the bumper design and mid-section hight in relation to the lenght of the vehicle. A bubble butt is all it takes for the car to be ruined.

It seems that on the contrary, we are basically the final car without the bligs, blings, type XM concept vs production, at least that's what they are saying in all the videos, hopefully because it is very good

Looks really nice. I hope the production version has smaller kidneys and it will be perfect.
The interior, with the exception of the parallelogram shape of the screen, is sensational. Love the color choice and materials.

With the Neue klasse BMW is taking a big step of advantage over Merc/Audi by having a defined, modern looking design language for its electric vehicles; as Audi look all the same and Mercedes EQ are turd inspired:poop:.

I guess in a few years we'll look back a the fugly transition cars (between design languages) like iX, XM, G70 7er as BMW's 996 moment .

Simply love it. A real fresh interpretation of BMW design, something to look forward and could well be my first BEV. Seems indeed 2 generations ahead of the current offerings. I would have to get used to not having idrive controller but never too old to change, right?

Looks like they’re going lfp for the batteries Which is the best option. SUV looks way better than the sedan.

Exactly. While MB and Audi are totally lost with their EVs design, BMW has managed to put together a design theme that simply works. And that is also 10 times better than their current line up.

When talking about the kidney grille the designer says that they will not use chrome trim anymore because it is not environment friendly….and that they will replace the chrome with light…..?! I know the designers always says a lot of bullshit, but come on….

Love it! The rear is very weird but that’s nice. The s

Let’s hope the grille won’t be illuminated, but it’s true that we went from chrome to exaggerated light bars, grilles, logos… and inside instead of fake wood we get random bordello lighting.
That trend will be obsolete soon I think.

At least the chrome is leaving us, I guess for German automakers it’s like for the Volk changing from Mark to €…

They have a huge potential to build a linueup with a solid design language for the first time since Bangle. Even if the sedan will remain the horizontal grille the design vision is still strongly recognizable.

Just based on the 2 last concepts the current lineup is aging a decade within a blink of an eye and it won’t be missed…

Is that ours? Cause I had to photoshop myself out :)

Exactly. And this is why car enthusiasts need to be critical with these brands. Some times they fail miserably (2er GC, split headlights…) and some other times they just happen to design a home run (NK).

It seems now is the turn of BMW. The other Germans need to go back to the drawing board and rethink their design language, cause it sucks.
