It isn’t that hard with this one. The G60 looks better as time goes by. Not even the change in the front end was needed IMO. But this one looks better no doubt.Must be the new strategy: start off ugly......
But when the two forms of early cycle (first half) and mid-cycle (second half) designs stand behind each other. It is clear as day that the comprehensive changes to correct each facial feature are necessary to bring the whole 5er family back to their roots and touches of sportiness and sleekness are obviously needed. So, in the end, it avoids the impression of being a front-wheel-drive vehicle that the current pre-facelift design has been criticized for since its debut. For example, the entire kidney grille and headlight areas on the facelift model are now being relocated into a much lower position by sitting below the main character lines than the pre-facelift one to sharpen and widen the front fascia section, which makes everything on the front look more like a proper, aggressive sport sedan instead of an ambiguous, typical economy sedan that has been found on the street. Plus, the hood is also being low-key modified to align and blend with the new facial structure as well. Not even the change in the front end was needed IMO.

Don’t attack my beloved 5er like that! I love her.Opposite here. I think the current front is vile. One of the worst ever on a BMW in fact, and worse than the current 7er even.
This new front seems to correct the whole car.

Sorry man but that makes 2 of us. The 5 series front is one of the ugliest on any BMW and this LCI will be very much needed to get it to look any form of decent beauty.Don’t attack my beloved 5er like that! I love her.![]()
Hahaha, just joking mate. Everyone has a different taste obviously. It was a very nice upgrade after our dated F10.Bro sorry. I don't want to offend anyone like that, but it's my personal feeling and I can't help it. I just can't get over that grille in particular.
But I will forever love the 5er no matter the looks.
I hope so. Like I said, I’m totally happy with the looks, (duh).Sorry man but that makes 2 of us. The 5 series front is one of the ugliest on any BMW and this LCI will be very much needed to get it to look any form of decent beauty.
Absolutely, I'm joining the team with unconditional support. I love how imposing that front end looks on the street, the shark-like, angled headlights contrasting with the grille, which is in the opposite way of them. It's a very well-designed front end that exudes dynamism and modernity and perfectly suits the status of the 5. Its popularity, marked by hordes of buyers, seems to agree.Don’t attack my beloved 5er like that! I love her.![]()
to me the current 5er when properly specced with the right wheels ,color and sport package trim ,it looks insanely good ,on the opposite it looks super ugly when it is not properly speccedSorry man but that makes 2 of us. btw in my home country it's everywhere while the E class in comparison is not that common which indicates that people love the 5erto me the current 5er when properly specced with the right wheels ,color and sport package trim ,it looks insanely good ,on the opposite it looks super ugly when it is not properly specced

I believe it’s not only because of the miserable EQE. The E-Class is clearly less seen around here compared to the ICE 5er. The sales advantage must be 10 to 1 here in Madrid in favor of the BMW.The E class is being slaughtered by the 5er in the EU, but that's mostly (and dare I say only) because the EQE is a gigantic flop and BMW has the i5.
Next gen there will be an EV E class and sales will be around 50/50 again. For the time being though, MB better keep those bandages at hand, because they are bleeding f#cking everywhere.
Next wound will be the mid/full size SUV class, where MB thinks it's ok to uglify old cars and expect good sales against BMW's all new products.
