5 Series (G60) [Spy Shots] BMW G60 5 Series LCI

The BMW G60 is the eighth generation of the 5 Series. Revealed on May 24, 2023, it commenced production in the summer of 2023 at BMW's Dingolfing Plant, with first deliveries beginning around October 2023. Body styles: 4-door sedan/saloon (G60), 5-door wagon/estate (G61), and 4-door long-wheelbase saloon (G68).

The slimmer headlights on the 2nd change look alot better and more suited to the front than the previous large headlights. The slimmer headlights and grill can allow a slightly lower hood which the 5 series needs to become more sleeker.

It needs a lower hood at the base of the windshield imo. Or a higher one in the front, like what they did with the previous 7er in a way.

Especially since the current G6X and G9X series are being built on the compromised platforms.

I prefer the from the A-Pillar bases fowards descending design. Otherwise, cars would tend to look like...this...:

I think the center screen is connected to a curved instrument display. It might have a similar look to the GTXX concept.

Cars are reaching a silly lenght. This G60 is as long as the F01 7er. The G30 5er was already too much for my taste.

To me the perfect size for a sedan is the G20 3er or E60 5er at max. These new cars are like boats in my eyes.
Totally agree, I had quite a few G20 3er driving in front of me and passing and its size is just on the perfect spectrum for a BMW saloon. I would hate for this series of car to increase in size, its not necessary as its got decent space and a good sized boot.

Me seeing the new high gloss black materials inside the brand new G60 last week at the local BMW dealer in Bangkok.

Those piano black switches are something that comes in a budget car. Looks worse than the those matt finish black switches and panel in the first and second year models. Dont know why BMW made this change, cost cutting?

Nope. Same like the iX3. This one has very thick bezels, which I want to believe because of it being an early test mule cause otherwise…yikes.

It would be even more tragic if it were the same as the ix3. This is a 5 Series and not fundamentally an electric car. They must be crazy.

I like the idea of the bmwblog photo keeping the light bar, although in the real photo it seems to be gone.

Galvanic control buttons looked much more premium.

f#ck yeah, with color coded plastic. So much more premium looking like that.

Alternatively, the shiny black plastic cold be galvanized and the actual buttons plastic, that would look nice as well. Can't you photoshop it like that?
