5 Series (G60) [Spy Shots] BMW G60 5 Series LCI

The BMW G60 is the eighth generation of the 5 Series. Revealed on May 24, 2023, it commenced production in the summer of 2023 at BMW's Dingolfing Plant, with first deliveries beginning around October 2023. Body styles: 4-door sedan/saloon (G60), 5-door wagon/estate (G61), and 4-door long-wheelbase saloon (G68).
This comes to my mind.

Which makes us fearfully wonder what else might be going through your mind

M5 LCI – Alcantara-covered dashboard, 544PS combustion engine + electric motor, and that's it.
??, Completely new NK interior, extensive redesign of the entire front end plus taillights, revised driving dynamics, nearly two full years of development before launch—I think you're underestimating it....

I don't appreciate it because I think that with the introduction of stricter emission standards, the new M5 will be even slower than the current model. What's the point of such a car? It would be better to simply call it the 550ie or M550e.

Seriously good looking proportions and I suspect seriously good looking flank/wheelarch sheetmetal surfacing under the camofoil. A pity that this will probably be reserved for the M/iM 5 LCI only. How this could benefit the visual of the "normal" G60/61 LCI models is astonishing.

do you mean that there will be new surfacing work on the exterior !!because at some of the recent spy pics I have noticed that there is new surfacing in the exterior near the rear of the car!!

I'm referring to what I hope could be more organically muscular wheelarch sheetmetal and a rethink of the rocker skirt surfacing. And along with it, hopefully a somewhat wider track.

Cars are reaching a silly lenght. This G60 is as long as the F01 7er. The G30 5er was already too much for my taste.

To me the perfect size for a sedan is the G20 3er or E60 5er at max. These new cars are like boats in my eyes.

Gotta go with the flow when the average EV crossover is bigger than a 3er.
That would be my plan if I ever need the extra space. Have one of these people carriers for long distance travels and keep for myself a smaller, more interesting choice.

Yeah but small and expensive don't generally go well together. BMWs have always been big comparable to the market, and I think the difference between an E60 and other cars in the day is about similar to the G60 and other cars of today.

EV has allowed brands unable to build big cars (where a big engine was needed) to build big cars. And with big I mean huge. There's EVs from budget brands bigger than or about the size of an X7, for less than the price of a 5er.

You gotta go with the flow.
