Aah, I see thanks! I though something was off but thought it was because of your PS ;)

Either way, M135i bumper looks awkward as hell. But the PS shop skills are apparant!

nothing on the offical release of the 7 LCI yet ? what is the next big autoshow it could be released at.

It's BMW being BMW. The car will soon be unveiled but away from the Beijing exhibition halls but still in China. as the largest market for the BMW 7er is now China - Half of production goes to China with 9 out of 10 cars ordered with full "BMW Individual" specifications.
When you think about that, that is a lot of profit.

Just imagine the impact the (and profit) the BMW CS Concept would have had for BMW in the Chinese market had it not been canned. That would have been the ultimate showcase of BMW Individual, and it would have been a car in a category above the 7er, S-class, A8, etc. Should'a, could'a, would'a... lose'a. :(

BMW Confirms Facelifted 7-Series, will Launch this July, May get Tri-Turbo Diesel

BMW has evidently completed the development of its refreshed 7-Series limousine as the Bavarian company's CEO Norbert Reithofer revealed that the 2013 model will arrive at dealerships in July during a conference call on Thursday.
The BMW boss did not provide further information on the car, though our spy shots suggest that the styling tweaks on the 2013 7-Series will be limited to the redesigned bumpers, LED headlamps, the front kidney grilles and the alloy wheel designs, along with new trims and better materials inside.
We have also heard that BMW's engineers will refine the chassis and add two new engines, a V8 gasoline unit and the company's new tri-turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel rated at 375hp (381PS) and 740Nm (546 lb-ft), which was first introduced on the M550d xDrive sedan and estate models.
We still don’t know if the tri-turbo diesel will be used on a regular 7-Series, or as the president of BMW’s M division, Friedrich Nitschke, recently hinted, at a new M Performance variant.

Car scoop

I do hope that one can now access iDrive with a rear controller instead of the lousy current setup with a dinky DVD remote. It's quite annoying how one can't use iDrive in the backseat anymore like you could in the previous model. I still don't understand why they offer it everywhere else but the US. I also thought they would have unveiled this by now considering how it's already been a full year since spy images were first snapped. Shouldn't production be even starting already in Dingolfing?

Awesome gauges! Probably the best virtual instruments I've seen so far. Are these official teasers/leaks? If so, final pictures should come very soon...

This is from official BMW press release. It will be option from july for 5 series.
But from this spy shot, it`s easy to say that it will be on new 7 series.

But still not the real deal. I can give you one tip. The Foglights still have the same shape as the pre LCI 7 Series. Only that they are LED.

That would be great news. LED tech, but old school styling and no stupid LED strip. I hope the 6er design team takes notice, because the LED strip is one of the few ugly parts of the new 6er...

And I have to say I like the shape of the new bumper in that render! Much better than before, and it reminds me of the 1er ActiveE (or whatever they call the electric 1er)

They can't seem to see beyond their noses. The CS concept was such a low-hanging fruit but, hey, what do I know..

^ agree, i don't see a reason to axe something like that, when everyone else is producing at least some sort of an exotic model. i mean, if economy turmoil was the reason, when it turned better, why not re-introduce something similar?
The Porsche Pannameraxxxx probably wouldn't sell half its numbers if BMW had the CS lol. jokes but it should be successful.
