Not a fan of that headline at all... ( really puffy compared to the current one.) It looks like it belongs on a completely different car.
I`m not going to pass judgments yet. It might look better when it breaks cover

I spotted a 7-series yesterday. The rear is really hot, best in class IMO.

That's camo GTA. They nowadays use some kind of inflatable rubber to disguise the real shapes. It's impossible to make something out from pre FEP camo these days, they've become pretty smart..

And please tell us more @Just_me. Did you like the stance etc? How many were there? Sneak peak of the interior?

Look guys, may i present to you the new 7er..

;)

LOL guys. I was talking about the current 7-series. I have no idea what the new one going to look like, I just hope they dont change too much from current 7-series. Thats what I meant with my previous post :)

No doubt that the new 7 will be the most advanced 7 series yet with all new toys to compete with the W222 S class. But design wise I feel that it will be difficult to topple the sublime E38. The E38 is to 7 series what W126 is to the S class. All 7 series past or future has to be judged by the E38 standards imo. None yet has managed to topple it.

I think that was an early test mule/bed for the current F01 7er. :)

Could be, but the sheet metal is from the E65, clearly.

I love the fact that you just KNEW I was referring to the E65 and not the F01. :D

Too obvious.....

F01 did imo. Best looking 7er ever made :D
But we will both be happy; G11 will follow the F01, but with a slimmer appearance (a la E38)

I feel the exact same with the E39 5 series, to me it hasn't been bettered.

I wonder what they have up their sleeves for the interior?
It's not easy going up against that stately S Class.

^ BMW is going for modern high tech looks and fresh materials. It's going to be really easy to beat the W222 design wise, because the semi retro look of the S class and the eyesore of a screen integration will not be hard to top.
The only impressive thing about the S class is the consistency of the interior quality and sheer crarfmanship. That's impressive alright.

The F01/02 7 series belies its' age of some 6 years. Its' exterior design is crisp and precise. An almost minimalistic approach that exudes timelessness. Nothing appears to be contrived. Nothing appears convoluted. To me, it is BMWs' visually "cleanest" production car. My sole personal criticism of the car are its' taillights. I prefer the somewhat more horizontally accentuated treatment as seen on the F10/11 5 series cars.

And the interior also continues to look relatively fresh.
