DB11 [Spy Shots] Aston Martin DB11 spied

Seems like there's a lot more coming in from the Mercedes parts bin then just the engine and transmission.

Personally for me,it's certainly lacking excitement in that render. Even though the current design idium is very fimilar at this point,it never fails to arouse excitement from me,and I'm not really an Aston fan.

It is lacking the simple elegance of the timeless styling that defined the Aston range for the past 10 years. What is going on with those "floating roof pillar", side vent connecting to the the front wheel arches oddly shaped headlight and the incomplete lower intake? I am afraid the perfectly proportioned shape is ruined by crass styling gimmicks.

Silver pillar is a very superficial detail you would only expect to see on an Opel/Vauxhall or quirky Renault. Because Aston is struggling to introduce a new design language their is to add more icing to what people already like........which is the existing design.

I am too underwhelmed and was hoping for a breath of fresh air. However I will find it difficult to hate the DB10 if it ends up like the render.

The designers did a fine job with the rear end design, unfortunately the same can't be said about the front end, the shape is flat and it doesn't flow with any lines or surfaces. I suppose all will be clear once the official photos are released.

Hmmm, I am cool with the rear but that front end looks a bit stupid.

And isn´t it time for the mules to stop being that MB-derived?

The interior photos come from an earlier prototype which was caught in Scandinavia last week. The interior is far from production ready but it features a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment system. The prototype has also been equipped with an assortment of Mercedes-sourced components including a three-spoke steering wheel, a Comand controller, and climate control switchgear.

Christ no, digital instriuments are not ok in an Aston, they almost always look cheap and nasty, a conventional speedo and rev counters are fine unless the engine can rev like an LFA V10.

That's a massive bonnet with no shut lines.

Liking what I see so far. Looks like someone decided to disregard the no-phone during private preview rule. Nowadays that can result in losing an allocation spot.

I absolutely love it! Especially that massive wide bonnet... :notworthy:

Now, show me the whole car, but in black color. (y)

Looks pretty good I must say. Headlights somehow remind me of the new Ford GT?

And the hood shutline looks fantastic too.

Maybe they didn't like it, so they were like F it, I'm taking a pic :D
