2 Series [Spy Shots] 2015 BMW 2 Series Spy Pics & Info

The BMW 2 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since the year 2014. The 2 Series was created when BMW spun-off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the BMW 1 Series into a separate series.
It doesn't look anything like the hatch, i'm pleasantly surprised!!

I think this is probably now my favourite BMW out of the whole line up, everything about it looks fantastic. The front is so well resolved, they've done a fantastic job with that. I WANT ONE

This is without a doubt the most important car BMW has ever made (despite what Scott says it is not the i3). It is this car that will prove or disprove thar BMW has not lost its mojo.

Oh, he is too occupied at the S-class temple pondering upon changing his religion...

I'd have this 2er over a new S500 :D No joke, btw!
I'm more into small little nimble sporty cars (but the S class is a dream indeed, no doubt about that)

I do have to get used to these new headlights. There's something in it no other BMW has had yet....but it looks pretty damn spectacular! Love what I'm seeing here, yeah!!!

If we add a few inches on to the wheelbase and stretch the roof panel we get a very good impression of the baby Gran Coupe.

It's overall shape to me looks remarkably similar to the current 1 series coupe but they've tidied up the design of the nose and the rear which has turned this into a very pretty small coupe.

This might as well be the official reveal - the photos really are that clear.
I am curious as to why you disagree with me in saying that this is the most important car BMW has ever made? Okay maybe ever made is a bit of a hyperbole, but at least the most important car of the F Code cars.

Because it's not! Not even close. BMW would laugh at your statement too.

No it's not! What planet are you on?

The F30 3 Series, F10 5 Series, the new X5 due to its popularity in emerging markets like Russia and China, not to mention many more examples, are all FAR more important to BMW. Even the F20 and F21 are more important to BMW than this as they'll sell in much larger numbers than the coupe.

That's not to say this car doesn't look superb though. It does.

Definitely looks like the M Performance version, with the wheel design, blue colored calipers, and the random M logo on the front-quarter panel. That's about as good as it gets till the M2 shows up.

The car looks more like an extensive facelift rather than an all-new model. Almost as if it's caught between generations. Nevertheless, it looks fantastic!!

I like it more evey time I see it. It's close to perfect in my book.
Really like the fact the kept it so close to the old 1er coupe.
And I like even more that it doesn't even remotely resembles to F20!!

It looks fat and needs bigger wheels :)
Some good details here and there but overall... not my cup of tea.
I'd take the sleek 4-Series over this but considering how great the M135i is... I'll have to think more than twice before making a decision. Some bigger wheels and I'll be ok with the whole car... just price it right and it'll surpass the S3 in my book... not there yet! :)

That really does look good. Once the new 1 and 2er cars are in place, BMW will likely have the best looking lineup on the market. This looks so much better than the current 1-Series coupe. It still isn't a baby 4er, but its close. When does this debut?

I guess I should clarify further. I am not talking in terms of sales or profit. I am saying from a car enthusiast standpoint (which I am assuming we all are) this car is the most important F code car because it has the potential to bring back that BMw feeling that has been lost or muted in all of the new cars. What is so crazy or wrong about that?

Your illusion that enthusiasm from internet forum fans is more important to BMW than the MILLIONS of people who are in the market for their SUVs and FWD small cars.

Time to wake up and smell what makes the world turn, boy.. MONEY.
