Cayenne Spy pics: Cayenne facelift

The Porsche Cayenne is a series of automobiles manufactured by Porsche since 2002. It is a luxury crossover SUV, and has been described as both a full-sized and a mid-sized vehicle.
WOW! That is beautiful, great changes!!! Porsche was on the right track there. Looks ideal! Excellent facelift!

Nice to see some new pictures of the face liften Cayenne. Correct me if I'm wrong but the second picture looks like a chop to me.

Not a chop, just a PS in the headlights, nice find. I would prefer the headlights to look the same as the first pic.

I think it will be a gr8 improvement to an allready impressive SUV (turbo only though:D)

I need to see the Turbo version before I make my final judgement about this FL.

Agreed... they will need more changes than that to make the car look good.

I concur. The design of this porsche was atrocious from the start.

A family friend has one and there is no sense of occaision or quality in the cabin. Just cheap grey plastic. Also, the seat comfort was unbelievably bad. After two hours in the centre row....ouch my back hurt. The stiff ride quality didn't help its case either.

I hate how they photoshop spy pics, looks really tacky. From what I can see in the form of the headlamps and the exhaust coming out through the rear bumper, this car will be a lot sportier than the current car appearence wise. I'm sure they'll make some modest but nice power upgrades to the current crop of engines as well.

More interesting will be the next generation car, which I predict will look more like a crossover than an SUV.

Porsche’s first off road model Cayenne has been on the market since winter 2002 and is now about to undergo a first major restyling, scheduled for release in 2007. In addition, a Hybrid version is said to be in the pipeline, developed in co-operation with VW and Audi. This one, however, for launch earliest in 2008.

Prototypes of the facelifted Cayenne have been photographed meanwhile during road testing in various places of the world in cold and hot weather as well as in the vicinity of Porsche’s home base Weißach.

These photos are showing for the first time the complete new front end with new headlights reminiscent of Porsche’s 911 (996) model. The new front skirt has different air intakes and spotlights in the corner of the air intakes.

At the rear end the car will get also bigger taillights, a new spoiler and a new bumper. The 4.5 litre V8 engine in the flagship Turbo model is said to remain unchanged, however, the 3.2 litre V6 will get upgraded with the new narrow-angle 280hp 3.6L Passat VR6.

The photos are showing a front-side view on which the front end tape has been stripped off by computer. One shot of the dashboard. Two shots of the new rear end with some tape for disguise.
